I absolutely the smell, pigmentation and smooth feel of this lip balm! It is so great at keeping my lip moisturized but with the added colour it is the perfect option for going out (day to night!). The colours this comes in are wide ranging but all offer a great colour pay off. Unlike other pigmented lip products this does not settle into dry cracks and does not cause dryness of the lips. The price is a bit steep for a lip product, but considering that it can replace both a balm and a lipstick or stain, I think it is worth it!

Like the other Sugar Lip Treatments, Sugar Ruby is very buildable and can be layered with other lip treatments depending on how you would like to wear the colour. I do prefer the non-shimmer treatments slightly more, but thankfully Sugar Ruby isn’t gritty in texture which shimmer can cause. The wear time is also quite long and I was able to go about 4 hours before feeling the urge to reapply which for a lip balm type product is pretty awesome in my books! Sugar Ruby is a completely wearable colour for anyone and I am pleased to see something new in the collection for the holidays with a little bit of sparkle!
