Absolutely Delicious

I got a $2 coupon to buy a package of sweet and sour porkless bites. It took me and my husband some minutes to decide what to buy as there are many great options and all of them seem really appetizing.
I prepared it following the directions on the packaging and cooked for 10 minutes in a pan. It includes the salsa that you just need to warm up so it's very convenient if you don't have a lot of time to cook. I think it's a great product, I thought these kind of plant proteins were bland with no taste at all but after tasting Gardein products I totally changed my mind. It's very tasty not just because of the sauce but it's well seasoned. I'm very glad I had the chance to taste it otherwise I would have never buy it. It's a good source of protein mainly soybean and it's non GMO. I have one more coupon which I plan to use for the crispy tenders. Hopefully it will be as good as the pork bites ☺️

Interesting

So I was never really a pork eater, but going Vegan comes with lots of temptation. These pork bites are OK. I mean, it doesn't taste like pork to me... just a good ball of mystery meat. I hated the sauce... tossed that right out. Needs to come with a different sauce for sure. So this is the only Gardein product I'm still not 100% sold on yet.

SO MUCH YUCK!! I hated these. I love Gardein products but these specific bites were just not doing it for me. I never liked pork anyways so maybe that was the issue.

Delicious! I've never been a fan of pork and somehow, this in my top three for favourite Gardein products! Love the texture and slight crunchiness to this imitation sweet and sour pork. This is just fantastic when served with pineapple brown rice and a light cucumber salad (I love cucumbers mixed with sweet and spicy sauces!). For an extra kick, mix a small amount of Frank's Red Hot or another similar hot sauce with the included sweet and sour packet. This pork substitute is so good, even my husband loves it, and he's a big fan of meat! I personally always bake my meals instead of microwaving (for both health and flavour reasons), and believe this is the best way to cook these pork bites. The included sauce is a bit on the sweet side but easily toned down with a bit of salt or hot sauce. Super tasty dish! Highly recommend it!
