I recieved this product from the Review Club and after trying it several times I found I like the other Garnier Fructis Color Shield products much better like their shampoo & conditioner. What I did not like about this product is the texture, that it made my hair feel weighed down making it have this 'greasy' look. The scent was pretty nice, strong but nice. But I do think that it does help with keeping in my colour for a longer period after each rinse. Would I buy this product in the future? No, probably not.

I tried this color sealer never having used a sealer before. I just didnt think they would work and I didnt want to waste my money for products I really didnt need. Well for me I can tell you I am very pleased with this product. It actually does what it says it can do. I found that it has prolonged my color when used with the shampoo and conditioner. When I colored my hair the first time and used my shampoo and conditioner and no sealer, I found the color faded and that I had some grey showing through by the 3rd week and by the 4th well it was time to think about coloring again. I am on my 29th day of the 2nd coloring after using the color sealer with the color sealing shampoo and conditioner and I am so pleased!!! Not a grey in sight and it is shiny and still holding beautiful color. And wow you get alot in the bottle so its not like you have to go out and purchase this product all the time it lasts! One thing I noticed is that when they say place a small amount in your hand that is so true. I think I got a bit carried away the first day or so and had to figure out the right amount for my hair. I like that you put it in and leave it, makes me feel its doing a better job than if you washed it out. I did find it helpful to comb thru it right after putting it on and toussle your hair a bit that way it didnt feel stiff and crunchy! I really like this product alot, it prolongs the life of my color and just makes my hair look and feel great! I have to say I am pleased with the colorshield shampoo conditioner and instant color sealer and I will definately buy them again and again!!

I too recently was chosen to test this product. I loved the rest of the line, the hair colour, the shampoo and the conditioner as I stated in my other reviews but this I was not happy with. I didn't really see the benefits of it. It was a sticky kind of texture and I felt my hair was better just using the conditioner.I didn't like the feel of it on my hair. I don't know if it made a difference in the lasting of the colour or if it was the shampoo and conditioner that made the colour last longer. I have stopped using it but I am still using the shampoo and conditioner. I don't think I would reccommend this and I wouldn't buy it.

I've never used a colour sealer before so I wasn't sure what to expect but I'm glad I did because I was pleasantly surprised! I loved the scent and it didn't have a greasy feel. I was a little worried about the product weighing my hair down as I have really thin hair but it was very effective without a heavy feel. I believe used in conjunction with the Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo and Conditioner that this product delivers on its promise to extend your colour. I'm also impressed with the amount of product you receive for the price you pay as the bottle is a good size. I would purchase this product in the future and recommend this to friends. I liked all the other Garnier Fructis Color Shield products and hair color but I am not a huge fan of the Garnier Fructis Color Shield Instant color sealer. It worked satisfactorily as a leave in conditioner but I found that with my hair it felt as though it got too greasy too quickly afterward.

I liked the scent of this but other than that i didnt really care for the product. I dont feel it evenly distibuted through my hair and so after it dried it would have crusty strands. I also felt that my hair became much greasier quicker than after a regular shampoo and wash. I also didnt notice that it made a difference extending my hair color. I wouldnt buy this again in the future

I tried this product through the Review Club. After testing Garnier Nutrisse hair color with my regular shampoo/conditioner, I recolored my hair and this time used Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo & Conditioner, and this color sealer.
I regularly use leave-in conditioners, even in between shampoos so I was excited to try this one, also supposed to protect my color.First, it smells really good, and it's not greasy. I have long and fine hair, so I tried to avoid any products that leave my hair feeling heavy and flat. That was not the case with this, my hair is light, shiny and smells great after using it.
When using it between shampoos, I would put a small quantity in my hands, rub them together and then apply the product through my hair.
As for itseffectiveness on the color-fading protection, I think it does work quite well. The color still fades, but much less quickly, but most of all, your hair keeps that shiny look that you get right after the color much much longer.

I was chosed to review this product in conjuction with the Garnier Nutrisse Creme hair colour and the Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo/Conditioner. Hmm, I'm not too sure what the purpose of this product is, I found it really unappealing and not useful at all. It has a very strong scent and the product is very tacky on the hand, it did absolutely nothing in terms of my hair "style". I won't be using this item again and would not recommend it to a friend/family. A big miss for me!

I got this as part of the Chick Advisor's Product Review Club.
I have never used any type of sealer before, for this was a first for me.
I was a bit hesitant about it at first , as I thought it might make my hair all greasy, but it didnt.
A little dab of it on the hand and you work it into your hair and it does wonders.
Its not greasy at all, washes off your hands easily.
It helps to tame the hair if its a bit frizzed out, and my colour still looks like I just did it and its been well over a month now

Though I've been coloring my hair for years, I've never used this type of product before and likely would not have, had I not received this as part of the Garnier Colour Shield products via the Product Review Club.

What I liked;
- refreshing fragrance
- light texture, did not weigh hair down, easy to rinse off hands
- side benefit of taming my sometimes fly-away hairs!
- no fading of hair colour and it's been over 4 weeks!
