I got this as part of the Chick Advisor's Product Review Club.
Put a little of this into wet or dry hair to seal in the colour....and it works.
It seems like this stuff does wonders, I really don't know how they do it. Weightless, and smells great a small squirt in you hair and when it dries you wont notice it is there, but you will notice how your hair keeps it's colour longer.
I personally usually have a bit of bleeding in my hair the first few washes after dying it, but with this it seems to be drastically reduced.
I reviewed this product as part of the review club - I might not have bought it otherwise because I think it's a bit pricy on the shelf, but after trying it, I think i"ll be buying it. THe best part of this product? Definitely the frrizz control. I have straight hair, but it gets really frizzy in the humiditiy/rain, and I found that using this product really help control that. I also really like the smell of it and the way that it makes my hair shine a little more. it feels like a luxury product, but isn't nearly as pricy as something at the salon. Overall, I highly recommend it!
As someone with naturally curly hair I found the Garnier Fructis Color Shield Instant Color Sealer really effective. It gave my hair a nice sheen and tamed the fly away bits and frizzes. I liked how it felt in my hair and the fragrance of the product is lovely. I was impressed with the entire Garnier Fructis Color Shield line of products and feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to try them all together. I will be buying them for myself and have recommended them to others.
I was chosen to review this along with the Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo and Conditioner. This product is meant to be used while your hair is still damp and before you apply heat to it. I do like the product's fresh and fruity smell. After using this and blow drying my hair, it does leave my hair quite smooth and shiny. The problem is that if I apply this product to the root area, it really weighs my hair down. I don't want that as I have thin hair as it is, so I only apply the product to the ends of my hair. The thing is though, my roots are where I want my color preserved, so it's too bad that I can't use it in the areas where I need it the most. Overall, it's a nice product, but one that I don't necessarily reach for with any regularity.
This was part of part 2s review of the Garnier Nutrisse cream Hair colour along with the Color Shield Shampoo and Conditioners. Its always nice to be able to get a good feel for the full line since they tend to work well together and produce the best results.
This instant color sealer works like a heat protectant and thus helps with fade out. It smells delicious and a little bit goes a long way on damp hair(you can apply it to dry hair as well!) It doesn't seem to weigh down my very fine hair at all. I apply a dime or sometimes a nickle sized amount and apply to the ends first then lightly closer to the roots.
This product leaves great shine and I feel like its really helping protect my colour from fade out since it coats the hair shaft and seals it to protect it while styling and from the elements.
I would recommend you try this if you don't have any protective leave in sealants for your colour treated hair especially if you blow dry your hair daily.
I was chosen to test this as part of the Chick Advisor Product Club along with Nutrisse hair colour, Fructis Color Sealer Shampoo and Conditioner and this was the only product of the package sent that I wasn't overly impressed with, its not bad by any standards but not nearly as good as my usual hair serum
This product does smell great and a little goes a long way making it great value for money but I found it weighed my hair down a bit and even a small amount over what is needed (which is tiny) left my hair greasy. It is ok if you use it directly after washing your hair and blowdry and style with it in, but I often use my regular serum between washes when styling and this isn't possible with the Fructis Colour Sealer and it weighs my hair down enough that I can't use my regular serum along with the sealer.
Maybe its just my hair type it doesn't suit as it seems to be popular amongst the other people who were chosen to test the line but it is the one product of the set sent I would not buy again
Although I loved the hair color, shampoo and conditioner, I didn't really like the color sealer. I ddn't like the feel of the sealer in my hair. My hair is thin so it didn't help to make my hair full of body. I don't think I would use it for my type of hair.
I was chosen to test out the entire Garnier collection, the dye, the shampoo and conditioner and this colour shield product as well. The smell and texture is the same as the shampoo and conditioner, it smells lovely, like berries. I don't like to add too much products to my hair because it can cause buildup and weigh it down, but this product was just alright, as long as you don't use too much, just a dime sized should be enough to cover you entire hair. This isn't a product that you rinse out. I think this product is alright, I wouldn't buy it again though.
I have never tried adding a bunch of products to my hair routine after i color my hair, but when I tried this for the first time. My hair felt like it was swimming in silk. It is nourishing and the smell is just amazing. Even my mom and grandma wants them!
Ive never colored my hair before and I have to say, the sealer is above my expectations. Its very much like liquid fiber in consistency and texture (as well was the residue on the skin after usage). The product has a very nice scent and it is long lasting on your hair -which is good because the scent of the shampoo and conditioner doesnt last too long and remnants of scent from the hair dye remains. I would recommend it because it kept my hair from going frizzy many times during humid days.
