90% OF CHICKS DIG IT
Did like the way my hair felt after.
When I got it, I smelled the shampoo and thought it smelled really good. Like the way it felt when I showered with it. When I came out of the shower I thought I loved it but when my hair dried it was flat and my hair felt oily.
Not for me
This shampoo didn't work for my hair texture. While it did clean it out also left my natural hair dry and tangled. My hair didn't feel soft or moisturized. I did try it again a few more times and had similar results.
Soft hair
I really liked the light smell of this shampoo. My hair did feel a little stringy while washing but it always dried fine. Made my hair stay soft all day, but my ends felt a little dry
Garnier fructose aloe shampoo
This new hydrating shampoo from garnier fructose was not all it could be . This formula is clear , but smells very artificially creamy, its not pleasant , to some I’m sure. I have not found it to provide hydration for myself , with treated hair. Tried in the kids and it felt squeaky , but not clean. However we have hard water and perhaps this isn’t a good formula for us.
I haven’t ever been a fan of SLS, so putting it in didn’t help the situation, I tend to be more open to different texture and results when a product boasts about how natural it is, and it’s actually true....
It’s a pass, thanks @chickadvisor for letting me #gotitfree to try before you buy .
Stacks up to other natural shampoos, but too drying
I don't know what it is about more natural shampoos (well, I do know - it's definitely something lacking in the ingredients list), but they always, without-fail, leave my hair feeling way too dry. I was very excited to try this shampoo from Garnier's new line (just look at the cute packaging! Adorable!), but as we all know, a product's packaging is not always the best indicator of its efficacy and/or quality. I'm usually a huge fan of Garnier's hair products - from their Whole Blends line to their conditioning masks to their new colour revive products - and they've always consistently hit it out of the park, but there just seems to be something lacking with this. The scent is amazing, as always and as expected. I can't stop sniffing the bottle! But I just didn't find this to have enough lather to actually clean my hair - I had to go back to certain areas and use more product to really get a clean feel. Afterwards, my hair felt a lot coarser and drier than it usually does, which is not a good canvas for my hair during humid weather - my hair frizzed up to epic proportions, which it hasn't done in a long time since nailing down a haircare regime that really works for me and summertime Toronto weather. I'd say that this is on par with other natural shampoo formulations, but after giving a couple of them a try, I have to admit that as much as I'd like to give up the chemical-laden formulas, it's a real challenge. If I found this on enough of a sale, I'd pick it up to give my hair, body, and wastewater a bit of a break on the chemicals in periods where I'm not really going out/seeing people/styling my hair (COVID lockdown, anyone?). I wouldn't repurchase it as a replacement for my regular shampoo, however.
I #gotitfree to try through the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club.
Just "ok"
Got the shampoo & purchased the matching conditioner at Shoppers (on sale) for $3.99 using the $1 coupon that also came. I usually use quite a few products on my hair during & post washing. Decided to skip all my other products in order to get the full effect of this combination & only used the shampoo & conditioner that day. I instantly noticed that the shampoo did not lather & foam up like most other shampoos do. Didn't really like that. I also felt like it didn't really "clean" my hair & I felt like I needed to re-wash still-greasy areas. After washing & letting my hair naturally dry, I did however notice how much noticeably smoother my hair was. I'd definitely attribute it to the conditioner considering I didn't use my usual products to follow. I will use the conditioner again, but think I'll steer clear from the shampoo.
Not horrible but not the best either
Not the best. I generally like garnier but this made my hair super greasy. The aloe didn't really do anything. I probably won't buy this again. It didn't do what I thought
Dried out my curls!
I received this product for free through Chick Advisor to test out. When I opened my chick advisor box, I noticed that the shampoo was leaking a little as it wasn’t sealed with anything other than it’s flip cap- which is good if you want to smell the product before you buy it but don’t expect it to be leakproof on your way home. The smell is pleasant, not anything different than anything else on the market. I only used this shampoo once. Once I washed it out of my hair, I noticed how dry and stringy my hair felt. It started to feel like my hair was almost clumping together in a way. I immediately jumped out of the shower and started to do a deep conditioning mask in order to give my hair back it’s moisture. After I dried and styled my hair, it did feel drier than usual and quite frizzy. Most of the time, i usually just wash my scalp and let the suds kinda flow through down to the tips- I do this to retain moisture and to keep my curls from going too flat. It’s safe to say that this product isn’t meant for my corse curls. My fiancé on the other hand, who has long hair, doesn’t mind this shampoo. But based on the packaging the assumed it would be more moisturizing.
Not so great for curly hair
I’ve been using this for a couple weeks and feel it doesn’t offer much hydration for my thick curly hair. The fragrance is to artificial smelling for me personally. I find it very strong. The texture of the shampoo is nice, it lathers very well and rinses out nice.
If you’re not bothered by fragrances try this out for sure.
Produit correct.
