This shampoo makes my hair feels nice and soft!
I received this shampoo from Chick Advisor to try and review. Prior to receiving this shampoo, I tried various other Garnier products. I was using the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Shampoo and paused it so that I can try the Repairing Papaya Treat Shampoo. I have straight, fine, and damaged hair because I dyed my hair. I don't wash my hair everyday so I really like the fruity smell of this Shampoo. I like that it has Papaya extract and I did feel that my hair is soft and smooth after using this. I still need to use it with a conditioner.
I really appreciate that the ingredients are vegan, biodegradable and 98% naturally derived as I am always consciously looking for products that are more natural with less chemicals in them. Now that the world is becoming more environmentally conscious, I admire that Garnier used 100% recyclable bottles that are made with 60% recycled plastic to help conserve our planet’s resources.
Great Shampoo
I was a little worried when I got this, since I've been trying to cut down on using shampoo lately, so when I do use it, I need to to do some real work. Thankfully, treat shampoo was up to the task. I love the smell, and my hair doesn't feel too dry afterwards, as it maintains the natural moisture in my hair. I'll be happy to use this again! I'm especially happy to see the product uses naturally derived ingredients. If you're eco conscious, this is a good option, though it does still contain sulfates.
98% natural, but still contains sulfates
I received this product for free from Chick Advisor in exchange for my honest review.
I didn't like this shampoo. I was really excited when I saw that it was 98% natural, and then REALLY disappointed when I saw that it still contained sulfates. WHY?!
The smell is my favorite part of this product. It smells fruity and tropical, and so will your shower. The smell dissipates quickly after use and doesn't linger. While the bottle is a pretty orange color, the shampoo itself is clear (yay).
This shampoo makes a massive amount of lather so a little goes a long way. I found that it made my scalp feel a bit itchy after a couple of uses, and seemed to leave an almost waxy layer on my hair. It did not seem to hydrate my bleached blonde, dried out hair at all. Conditioner is definitely required afterwards. This shampoo just made my hair and scalp unhappy.
While I'm pleased that this product is mostly natural, they still have a ways to go with this product before I would recommend it. Get rid of the sulfates, please!! I would neither re-purchase nor recommend this product. There are many (superior) other natural hair product in this price range that outperform this product.
I’m in love with garnier products
I was so happy to get the Garnier papaya shampoo for trying #gotitfree from Chickadvisor. I’m hiiihe dan of garnier fructis products, their masks are my must have so was very excited to try shampoo and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s 99% vegan and have lots of emollients inside. My hair was soft and very shiny. I’m in love with that shampoo!
I love this!!
I receive this product for reviewing purposes. Let me start out by telling you little about my hair... I have long straight/waxy no volume thin fine hair. I have really oily/dry scalp and after 2 days I have to shampoo my hair cuz it feels so nasty. Ever since I tried this product. Honestly I am extremely loving the results. My scalp feels clean and fresh. The formula doesn’t at all weigh my hair down and for some reason gives a Voluminous look. The scent a bonus.... I am loving this line and will for sure buy in the near future the shampoo and would love to try the conditioner.
Smells so good.
I like that it has papaya in it and it smells soooooo good! I have really frizzy hair and it did not lessened the frizziness. Minus one star for it contains sulfate, I have been trying to use products that doesn’t contain sulfate since it’s a little harsh for my scalp and hair I feel like. I got this free from chickadvisor to try. #ChickAdvisorEcoBox
Wonderful scent, gentle shampoo
I am in love with this shampoo, in so many ways. First of all, it comes in an orange bottle, but the shampoo itself is clear. Because, we don't really need our shampoo dyed, right? I'm so happy about this. The scent is fruity and smells natural, I believe it is papaya scent (I haven't eaten a papaya for a while, so can't be sure). It's tropical, that's 100% true. It doesn't linger much in my hair after washing it, though. A small amount of shampoo lathers like crazy, because it does contain SLS (info for those that are trying to avoid it). However, I found it gentle and it doesn't strip my hair. No squeaky clean feeling. This is actually better for the hair. Other than that, it's quite a basic shampoo, but more naturally derived than most drugstore/grocery store shampoos.

Makes my hair so soft !
I tried this hair repair conditioner every morning for 5 days. Due to winter and working in an extremely dry workplace I have noticed how dry and split my hair has gotten. I use this product after I shampoo my hair. After just 5 days I noticed a huge difference in my hair! The amount of frizziness and (new) split ends has diminished significantly. On top of how well it works, the smell is amazing, I could smell it on my hair throughout the day but it isn't strong enough that anyone around me could smell it.
Smell sooooo lovely!
I really like the Garnier Fructis Repairing Papaya Treat Shampoo for Dry, Damaged Hair, it smells so lovely, I hope there are air refresh product can smell like it.
Best Shampoo!
I love everything about this shampoo! First of all it creates very soft foam when you wash your hair , it feels amazing to massage your hair with all the soft foam. It leave the hair feeling healthier and softer after just 2 weeks of use. I love the smell of it! My husband tried this shampoo and uses it now just because he likes it (: Will definitely keep buying in the future.
