I really liked the how the colour turned out. Lately, I am using only ammonia free heir colours. I usually buy Natural Instinct and I like it, but it washes out very fast. So was very excited to try Garnier Herbashine. And so far no major complains.
The gloves supplied with the dye are those very poor quality 'plastic bag' type gloves, which I really hate, so I ended up dyeing my hear without gloves.
The colour was a bit different straight after dyeing and it took a wash to get it to look the colour it should have been.
It is almost two weeks since I dyed my hair and the colour is grate. With other semi permanent colours I tried after about two weeks the colour really started to fade.
Overall I'm very pleased with the dye - it was quick and easy to use and left my hair very shiny.

Thanks to PRC for giving me a chance to try this product.
This the first time ever I used any coloring product for my hair. The main reason to try this hair color was to enhance the color of my hair. And also, as it says its ammonia free.
I was thinking that its gonna be lot of work to color my hair, but to my surprise it was very quick without any mess. It was very easy to follow the instructions and easy to apply. I like the consistency, was not drippy and holds well. And the time you need to keep it before washing is awesome, just 10 minutes. The smell is not strong and esp. like the conditioner, smells great and my hair was smooth and soft after the treatment.
The quantity of product was just enough to cover all my hair. Also, like to mention that I have only 2 visible grey hair and after coloring noticed that they were just having a hint of color and not covered completely. So, as advertised it is more for to enhance your existing hair color and not to cover your grey hair.
Price of this product is great and anyone can give a try to test this product.
In sort, I would buy and recommend this product.

I found Herbashine to be a great product! It gave me a beautiful, soft, shiny, subtle colour change that I've had many compliments on! I loved how easy the application was, and that the smell of the dye wasn't assaulting as they usually are! The cream was a little too thick for my liking though. Other than that, my experience using Herbashine was great! I'd totally use it again, and recommend it to others!!!

I found that my experience was similar to other reviews I read. The cream was a little thick, and as I have long thick hair, I was pretty worried I wouldn't have enough. I definitely could have used more dye, but as my hair is likely longer then average, I think this wouldn't be a problem for most people. The smell was pretty similar to other hair dyes, maybe a bit better. Following the dying, my hair looked a bit darker, but not a lot. This was fine though, as I wasn't looking for a big change. The main reason I don't dye my hair is that I hate the look of roots, and I'm hoping this will prevent that. I have curly hair, and this seemed to be fairly gentle on it, my hair does feel soft afterwards. So far, I would recommend for slight colour changes.

Well, I have to say, having a darker blond hair, it is hard to hold any sort of colour. But I do like colouring it to lighten it up a bit --make it a bit more bright. Since I have difficulties holding colour, I am pretty hesitant about trying new products or colouring it myself (I normally trust the professionals to it). I have to say, this was super easy and looks to be highly effective. It is not half as putrid smelling as a lot of hair colouring products are (and is ammonia free which is splendid!), and not only were the instructions actually simplified, it really didnt take a lot of time which was really nice. I so hate wasting an evening on my hair if I am doing it myself. It looks really sharp and after about two and a half weeks (with me washing my hair every night), the colour has stayed sharp and looks great! I would totally recommend this product!

I got Herbashine shade #500 (medium brown) through the product club review (thaanks)

    1. Application: The application was easy, although the cream was too thick for my taste. The advantage of that, though, is that it doesn't drip, hence cleaner bathroom :) I liked that quantity was enough, as although I have medium lenght hair, it is quite thick and I have trouble, usually, getting through all my hair with just 1 box. With Herbashine, it was more than enough!

    2. Product scent : it was awesome! Very nice, light scent, did not feel the chemical scent that hair color products usually have. Loved it!

    3. Colour result: This is the icky part. So, my hair is closer to light brown, so I picked a medium brown, which was basically a TINY bit darker than my color. I did not dye my hair for 6 months, and used an ammonia-free dye. And before that, I dyed my hair maybe a year ago, or more, at a salon, also ammonia-free. So, I am not sure what happened, but my hair is literally BLACK. Honestly! I love it though :)) So, I am not sure whether it was because of my porous hair, or the previous dye, or what, but I followed instructions and my hair is black. The color is nice though...

    4. Conditioner and hair after: I loved that there was a lot of conditioner in that little package. My hair felt totally smooth and tamed and nice. It's really really shiny and I styled it super easy! Love it!

    5. Reason for coloring my hair: I just wanted a change, but I did not wanted to damage my hair with permanent colors. As I color my hair all the time before, and my hair was really bad. So, we'll see how it acts in a few weeks (I mean the quality of my hair). I think I would buy it again, though I would be hesitant with the shade, as I am not sure anymore what to choose if just a medium brown gave me solid black.

    6. Yes, I would buy it again. And yes I would recommend it to a friend, with the color mishap warning though.

    Thank you, ChickAdvisor :))

I haven't colored my hair in years since I didn't like the upkeep and damage to my ends, even though I always went to the salon. I was always paranoid about doing at-home hair coloring and dealing with the mess.

This package was easy to use and I'd recommend this if you don't need a drastic change and are looking for solid color as opposed to highlights/lowlights. It was easy to apply but although it's ammonia-free, it still has a mild icky hair color smell. My hair is naturally dark and I selected the dark reddish brown, so it left my hair with a minimal color change, more of a tint. It did give it a great shine and softness and my hair seems a bit thicker.

The product does what it says it should and I'll update if there's any issues with the gradual washout.

I used Herbashine last weekend to dye my hair and found it to be a good experience in general. I haven't dyed my hair in many years, so it took me a few minutes to figure out the best way to get the product on my hair but I really liked that it didn't drip and the smell was a lot milder than other hair dyes I've used in the past (although I did find that it did smell a bit more than I was expecting). I also liked that it only took 10 minutes to develop. I found the coverage to be very good (I have a few white hairs and it covered them perfectly) and it really does make your hair nice and shiny. I'm not sure if I will keep dyeing my hair but it is kind of fun to try out a new colour (esp since it washes out gradually in 28 washes). And thanks to the Product Review Club for giving me the chance to check this out!

I used Garnier Herbashine for the first time and must say, that my hair is very soft and shiny. I had not coloured my hair in about 5 years, so this was tested on unprocessed hair. I love the fact that this colour washes out gradually, up to 28 shampoos, and that it only takes 10 minutes to use. It took about 10 minutes to put on my hair. I started at the roots, and then worked it in all over. I have very thick hair, just below my shoulders and the box was just barely enough to cover it all, but it did! I also really like the fact that there is no ammonia, and the product smelled quite nice, not like chemicals. My hair is super shiny now, and a lot softer to the touch. I am really glad that I coloured my hair using Garnier Herbashine. I will use this product again, because my roots will not show, since it washes out gradually! I think this is what I love most about this haircolour. I stopped colouring my hair because of the upkeep, but this was not a lot of work at all. 20 minutes with processing time!!! The price seems very reasonable for this colour, especially since it is a natural product. I definitely recommend this product!!!

Thanks to ChickAdvisor for hooking me up yet again with another cool product!

First of all, I am reviewing shade # 530 (Medium Golden Brown).

My hair is pretty much a light brown, with somewhat reddish-blonde highlights, plus it's kind of thick. I chose this shade because I wasn't looking for a dramatic change - just something a shade or two darker possibly. After using this product, and leaving it in for a full 10 minutes (once I had applied it all over starting with the roots), it did change my natural colour a bit but not very much. The roots (where the dye was in longest) are very close to the colour on the box and it looks nice! BUT, next time I would definitely leave this on for another 5 minutes or so like it says in the instructions, because the length of my hair looks almost the same. No biggie though, like I said I didn't want a huge change.

As for actually applying the product, I was pretty satisfied. This isn't the first time I have dyed my own hair at home, but it's been at least 4 years. To me, this product definitely didn't smell as harsh as other colours I've used. The creme was the right consistency so it spread easily without dripping all over the place. One thing I noticed is that the gloves this kit came with were a bit too 'one size fits all' - that is a good thing for the most part but I would have preferred some stretchier ones maybe because when the gloves are too big, it's hard to not get the product on your skin sometimes.

The bottle seemed a bit smaller than what I've seen in other kits, but it turned out to be exactly enough to cover all of my hair thoroughly (my hair is probably almost 20 inches long).

I was really impressed with how easily this stuff washed out of my hair, and the conditioner it comes with smelled really nice! There was probably enough conditioner for two uses, but I slathered it all on and left it for a minute. Now, after using the blow dryer, my hair feels very smooth and soft, and is super shiny.

I think I will purchase this again, but next time will definitely leave it on for a few more minutes for a richer colour. This is a really cool product, because it seems a bit gentler than permanent dyes and it just washes out after a few weeks (the box says 28 washes). I WILL have to wait and see how long until this colour fades, but unless it's gone tomorrow I think this product is definitely worth a try :)
