BOMB DYE FOR CHEAP
One of my go-to dyes does a good job on lighter hair. You NEED to bleach your hair if you want a good outcome. 2 boxes cost me 12 bucks and I didn't even need 2
My husband noticed the purple!!
I'm a brunette, but love purple, and like that more brands have purple now, without bleaching your hair. I used 416 Medium Intense Violet, and my husband said a couple days later "Is your hair purple?" when I stood under the lights in my kitchen, so that's success to me! :-D I also noticed it outside in the sun. It did a great job too on the grays. I'll be using this colour to keep the purple going.
I do wish it would look as purple as on the box of course, but with such naturally dark brown hair, that's not possible without bleaching.
This is a good DIY hair color. It is gentle on my hair, smells good, and does not fade easily. Its between 7 and 10 bucks depending on where you go. The color is true to box picture as well so there are no unpleasant surprises
I was alittle dissipointed at how dark the purple turned out on my hair, i used shade '326: Deepest Violet'. I have light brown hair but have been dying it black for years. However, i havent dyed it in quite some time as I've wanted it to go back to my natural colour as a light brown. My hair was a dark brown and my roots were pretty light. The box shows black hair going to a purple colour without bleach, just using the box dye. Therefore, with mt hair being a dark brown, not even a black and still, you cant see much of the purple in mt hair other than the roots!
I dye my hair frequently but all last year I didn't touch it so I was definitely due a change.
I had no high expectations but it does claim to lighten dark hair so I was hopeful for some colour
the cream didn't turn dark after I combined the chemicals nor did it rinse out dark which I was impressed with at first but I'd rather it be dark so I can see how well Ive rinsed it. My hair towel became stained and I had to spray it with some oxiclean after. I used up quite a lot of the conditioner it comes with just bc I know my hair would've been straw. I even used a serum on it while I waited to blow-dry. It dried well, with volume and manageable enough but not smooth. 2nd day and it reeks of chemicals still tho.
The colour itself as you can see unfiltered and under indoor light, it actually shows. I was afraid it would only show under sunlight but my skills are still mediocre as it's lighter by the roots and still quite dark near the middle or where the hair pools. I like it and would use again. However, it does NOT cover greys. It was $4 at a warehouse sale but retails $7.96 at Walmart.
