Not for Me
I have colored my hair for years and mostly done so myself from boxed dyes. I was not a huge fan of this dye however.. I found it faded after 2 weeks where I usually get 4 to 6, and see root before overall fading. The colour was lovely for the first week, though and I did enjoy the way my hair feels now compared to after using other dyes.
Didn't take to my hair
I don’t know if it was the colour I chose or if it’s the natural chemistry of my hair, but the product didn’t take. My hair is dirty blonde with some red undertones and I wanted to go to light blonde. And compared to the box, my hair was the same colour as the “before” example in the picture but it did not give me the expected result shown for “after”. My hair is now just a hardly noticeable shade lighter. Wouldn’t repurchase. Maybe the product would have taken if I’d gone darker, but for going lighter I wouldn’t recommend this dye.
Olia Hair Dye
I do like how soft and shiny Garnier Olia leaves your hair. Having said that, it does not cover grey hair at all. If you don’t have greys or don’t mind showing your roots quickly then this hair dye is for you.
Left in 35 minutes still have white hairs. Good dye if you already have that color hair but then why would you pay for a product to dye your hair if you don’t have anything to color
OK - Where to start, the box looks amazing, the stylish containers look nice, but OMG the product. I died my hair black 2 months ago... EVERY single shower it is still dripping out color. Not sure what the problem is, but has ruined towels and I will NEVER buy this product again. I have died my hair for many years, never had this issue.
Happy that this came in the mail. However I found that the bottle was awkward to use I do not have huge hands or long fingers and as I was using the product it kept slipping out of my hands and flying around the room. Now I have black dye all over. Also the bottle is arthritis friendly. I wouldn't buy or recommend this product.
I have relatively thick hair that is just past my shoulders so I used 4 boxes of the 6.46 intense red copper dye expecting that to cover it. I found it weird that the developer wasn't premixed but I had read a few good reviews so tried it anyways. After applying and waiting and rinsing, I was left with the splotchiest at home dye job, and not for a lack of coverage. The red came out bright orange in some areas and a strange red in others. Definitely would not ever use this crap again!
I like to have a natural color so noone can even guess I color my hair.Garnier has a large selection of colors. I selected a brown. The color is very natural and matched the rest of my hair very well. This is the good news part of the review. On the negative side, I did not like the applicator. It is attractive looking, but the tear drop shaped bottle is not comfortable to hold and is slippery when the gloves are soaked with color mixture. The bottle is totally smooth and round and the sleek gloves had trouble holding on to it.The color had no amonia and no smell, that was very nice.I liked that the color stains on my skin around the hair line washed off easily without much scrubbing. The colour came out patchy even though it was liberally applied. I was not that impressed with the product and it washed out in less then a month. I would not buy this product again.
I Tried this hair dye the other day and while I generally love garnier products, this one was no good in my opinion. I picked up a box on sale thankfully and thought the deep red would be a great hue change up to my dark brown and flat hair. I followed the directions to a t and I have dyed and highlighted my hair a number of times. This dye was super messy and got all over the place. It also took forever to rinse out clear and left my hair super dry and brittle. I could handle those issues if the dye was successful but the dye seemed to have completely rinsed out of my hair...even though it seemed quite saturated with the dye before the rinse. I am also noticing dye still rinsing out in the shower with shampoo. This product does nothing to what it promises on the box and I don't recommend it at all unless blotchy faded dye is the look you are going for.
I was very disappointed with this product. I dont have a lot of extra money to spend to keep my grays away, but i decided to try this because i hoped my hair would be shinier and softer. First of all, the product doesnt mix well..... I shook and shook..... applied to gray and roots first.... then later to other hair.... i noticed white cream that wasnt changing colors during processing.... so, i had spots that had no color added...... then, after rinsing and rinsing and rinsing..... product stained my blouse..... I thought that would end..... but over a week later of washing and conditioning..... its still staining clothes...... end of story...... STAINED CLOTHES for weeks and SPOTS OF DISCOLOR....... NOT HAPPY
