Too drying for my skin and smells bad. I got it on sale, so thank goodness I didn't spend that much but overall I'm a little disappointed.
This stuff works for me - and it's hella lot cheaper than the prescription products out there, and contains salicylic acid which is the most important part. Because of this, it does tingle - and a lot more strongly than most non-prescription products (you get used to it tho). Since it's not alcohol-based it doesn't dry out my skin or leave it feeling tight, and I can use it on a daily basis even though I have sensitive, dry skin. The smell isn't great - but that's not why you use this product.
I have discovered a method for increasing the effectiveness though - and it involves a bit of pain. I would suggest using warm water with a face towel to gently wash and exfoliate your face first top open pores, before applying this cleanser. Concentrate on massaging pimples with the gel for about 15 seconds (or more, up to you) - the longer this product gets to stay on your skin, the better it works. Just don't overdo it, and make sure you don't get any in your eyes or mouth - it's gunna feel/taste terrible!
I had terrible pimples for years, and after using this method continuously for a year, it's under control. Now, I alternate this with a less harsh cleanser, and when I have my monthly breakout, I use this with the SOS pen form the same line and can manage to nip pimples before they go nuclear.
I love the fact that this product is lightly mentholated and really gives you a feeling of freshness, but it may be a little harsh for dry or sensitive skin.
I also love the pump, which is hygienic and practical.
I'm a big fan of Garnier products, so I would definately recommend this product.
