Works to diminish the look of dark spots

I have noticed a gradual lightening of the dark spots on my face over time.

I also find this is a good exfoliant so I also use it around my nose. I don’t have dark spots in that area but it seems to work like a light acid peel.

I would definitely recommend this product. Great value for your money!

    Works on Superficial Marks

I was very fortunate to find this product on clearance at my local Winners. First off, I want to say that it was affordable for me at this price, but the regular price at the drug store/Walmart I find to be very high for the amount of product you receive. That being said, I found this product to be effective on my post-acne scarring. I have blemish prone skin that leaves red marks (whether I leave them alone or not), and have very fair skin. I use this product three times a week and notice a difference. When I wake up the next day, the redness has been reduced and stays that way. I don't find that this product works for very deep scarring, as it hasn't made any impact on the appearance of those. But, I'm okay with it working on my superficial marks. The product is a thick serum, where a little goes a long way. I've only been using this product for a month, but it seems like this product will last me a year or longer (so maybe the regular price isn't so bad). It sits nicely on the skin, does not feel like you're wearing something heavy, and does not break me out. Overall, I would recommend this product if you have superficial scarring/marks, and want to speed up the healing process. I don't find that this works with deeper scars, but for the price point and convenience, I don't mind.

Just got this product and am liking it! I haven't seen great improvement yet but I feel like my face feels fresher in the morning. I also like that it is a gel so it isn't super heavy and dries quickly.

I'm pale (like snow-white, vampire, whatever - REALLY pale), so whenever I have a pimple, by the time I get it to go away, I am stuck with an unsightly mark to remind me of its former place on my face.

I apply the peel before bed and use my usual moisturizer after. At first I was a little nervous because I am prone to facial redness, but I am very happy with how gentle this formula is. The consistency feels a little sticky at first on my face, but it does sink in eventually, and it doesn't bother me too much anyways because the formula is for night time use.

This product is definitely effective! Although it won't provide an instant miracle - with consistent use I have noticed that dark marks and scars have faded or completely disappeared! I will continue to use this product.

Just remember: if you are going to be using a peel, make sure to load on the sunscreen in the morning to protect the sensitive new layers of skin!

I’ve been using Garnier’s Skin Renew Dark Spot Overnight peel for about a month now. They say this peel has been clinically proven to be effective on dullness, dark spots and discoloration when used together with their Dark Spot Treatment. I how ever have only been using the peel and have found a big difference in my skin. Unfortunately I had bad acne as a teen and I still tend to get it from time to time. This has left my skin with acne scares that I’ve been trying to do something about for years with very little results. That is until now! I have seen a big improvement in the fading of my acne scares, the evening out of my skin texture and even the age spots that were trying to form on my skin. I didn’t even realise I had age spots on my face until a few summers ago. I thought I had gotten some dirt on my forehead after gardening, but when I tried to wash it away I realized it was my skin not dirt at all. As you can imagine I was horrified. I can only see this age spot showing through during the summer when my skin gets tanned, so I really can’t say if this peel has help that part of my skin out or not, but I’m hopeful after seeing the great results I have gotten with the acne scares. The Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Overnight peel contains Glycolic Acid and Vitamin C witch are both supposed to be great for your skin. It does have a bit of a runny consistency to it, but it soaks into your skin fairly quickly. All you have to do is put some on after you have washed your face before bed and that’s it. It’s very easy to use, but there is one thing about it that I don’t like and that’s the packaging of this product. It doesn’t come with a lid witch I thought was odd. So if you do buy some and you have children, just make sure you keep it where their little hands can’t get a hold of it. Other then it not having a lid I think the Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Overnight Peel works great and it will probably work even better if you use the Dark Spot Treatment along with it as they recommend you do.

At around $20, this is a pricier drugstore product but I'm willing to shell out the cash for it because they're aren't a lot of drugstore peels on the market. Usually you need to head over to a sephora and pay a lot more for the same active ingredients, which are glycolic acid and vitamin c.

I use this at night, as a mask/treatment. I put it over my night cream and any other spot treatments I may have on and I've found that it really works, though maybe a bit slowly to fade dark spots. I've found that it's especially useful for acne scarring. You can't use it too often, because it is a peel and therefore, pretty potent but its fine every few days and the glycolic percentage isn't too high.
