Was really excited about trying this product that I received complimentary of Chickadvisor. I was curious to see if it lived up to the hype. It comes in clear plastic bottle and I was surprised at the generous size of the bottle. After wetting a cotton pad with it, I proceeded to wipe my face hoping it would just magically erase all of the day's makeup. It didn't. I had an especially hard time removing my waterproof eyeliner but maybe my expectations were just too high. I've heard that Garnier also makes a micellar water for waterproof makeup. I'd be interested in trying that out to see how it would handle my waterproof mascara. This version did well to remove traces of blush and eyeshadow though. The scent was light and refreshing, similar to the brightening moisturizer I also received. And it dried nicely, not leaving a tacky feeling behind. I view this product more as a toner to be used after cleaning with a proper face cleanser to remove all makeup. I would recommend it to others as a toner but not as a cleanser.
I recently received Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water from the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club.
I used this product for one week to cleanse my face and remove makeup.
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and efficiently it worked (Wow !!).
It gently removed all my makeup without rubbing and no rinsing. Non greasy and incredibly rejuvenating. My face felt so soft and supple and didn't irrate my skin. I love that you don't need to rinse with water. A definite time saver.
Love this product.
Thanks to ChickAdvisor for the opportunity to try Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water.
It's a "Winner".
Love this! Works well and I love how it feels on my skin. Feels nice and refreshing and cooling.
Surprisingly takes my makeup off pretty good! I like how it also cleans my skin when I'm feeling a bit oily and it cleans off the dirt and leaves no uncomfortable residue. I would definitely recommend this product to someone looking for a multi-purpose cleansing product- to remove makeup, cools and tones the skin!
I was given this product to review for the Product Review Club. This was my first time using Micellar Water, so I didn't really know what to expect.
LIKE - refreshing, pleasant smell, effective at removing light makeup
DISLIKE - not strong enough for my eye makeup (& waterproof eyeliner); stung my eyes when I tried to remove my eye makeup; my usual eye makeup remover has a gel-like consistency, and this didn't really have that so I found that I had to rub my eye to try and get the makeup off, which I didn't want to do (as the skin around the eyes is super delicate)
I would use this more as a toner after my usual cleanser to help remove any extra dirt/makeup that's left on my face, as opposed to just using it alone
I am very intrigued about Micellar Water now though!!
I was so excited to be able to try these products as part of the product review club. Thanks guys!
To be honest, my first impression of the micellar water was "umm...how is this supposed to work???" But it actually works! I usually just use soap and water to cleanse my face, but I was pleasantly surprised at what a good job this product did at removing my makeup. Since I wear waterproof mascara, I used something different to remove my eye makeup, but afterwards would use the micellar water all over my face to remove any traces of oil or makeup. It leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean without any residue.
This would be a great product to have on hand when travelling, all you need is a cotton pad and your bottle of micellar water and you're good to go.
Having never used a micellar water before I wasn't sure what to expect with this product. I was pleasantly surprised as it gently but effectively removed all traces of eye makeup. It was also a very gentle soothing cleansing water. Due to the dry cold weather lately my skin has been quite dry and this was a nice soothing way to cleans my skin without over stripping it of oils. It would likely also be a good soothing cleanser in the summertime. Finally, the bottle is huge for the price paid making this a very cost effecting option compared to many of the overly expensive toners out there that don't work nearly as well
It does make my skin feel clean after using it. I only wear light makeup so it does clean very well. My skin does not fell dry after a few days use. I love that it is easy to use, no rinse and it is a good size product.
Love the gentle cleansing I get from this! I was skeptical at first because I have used the same product for years. But I actually like this micellar water better and I definately will be switching from my normal brand. The price is great and I love that it isn't heavily scented!
I got this item for free from the Product Review Club. I like the product but not as much as my Bioderma. From the drugstore, it is a great product. The price is affordable, removes the makeup well, clears the face. I just love Bioderma more than the Garnier. The reason being I feel like I use more of the Garnier to clean my face. Garnier Micellar Water would be my second choice if Bioderma is unavailable. #gotitfree
I was selected by ChickAdvisors to try Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water makeup remover #GotItFree. I found this was decent and removed the majority of my makeup, but not all of it. After using a few cotton pads, I felt I still had to give my face a wipe with a cloth to get the remainder of my makeup off. I found it removed my mascara and eye makeup well, which with my usual remover is often left behind. It dries quickly and left my skin feeling soft. It had a light scent and was gentle on sensitive skin.
