I received this product as a member of the ChickAdvisor review club and I was pleasantly surprised. It cleaned off my makeup easily and quickly and didnt make my skin feel tight or dried out after using it. There was no alcohol smell or stinging(as with other makeup removers) and my sensitive skin didnt react negatively to it all. The one thing i would say is that while it DOES remove my lipstick, it doesnt provide the deep scrub of my lips that I prefer. I do love the fact that I dont need to use soap on my face anymore, and the price is definitally worth the product...and coming from someone who doesnt like to spend much money on a 'beauty regimen', that says something!

Disclaimer: I received a full size Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water from Chick Advisor to review.

As of now (Feb.20) I haven't had a chance to even test the product. I got package slip on the 11th, and only got the time today to go pick it up. I'm not overly optimistic that this weird Micellar Water that everyone is raving about will actually clean skin, let alone remove makeup. Plus I do have a slightly negative view of Garnier in general because I used one of their hair dyes and it made my dandruff ten times worse. So I am hoping that this product will change my mind. I plan to give this a fair shot and hopefully the claims of improved skin within a week are true.

    Updated On: March 21, 2016

Update (March 21): I'm still unsure about this 'cleanser'. I feel like my skin really isn't clean after using it. It's not too bad to use in the morning, just to refresh my skin and I save my better cleansers for bedtime to get a proper clean after a day of pollution, makeup, sweat, etc. Others complain of an oily residue, but I don't find that at all. It leaves a watery film for a minute or so, but then evaporates or absorbs into the skin. And I apologize about my previous mention of this product claiming to improve skin, I was mixing it up with the other Garnier product I received. The Micellar Water packaging makes no such claims.

I would still recommend this product if you're the type of person who's too busy to clean your face before bed. Since you can just wipe this stuff on and not bother rinsing it off. I still feel like it doesn't give you a proper clean, especially if you're wearing waterproof makeup, but it's definitely better than nothing. It's also reasonably priced, which is always a plus.

I received this product as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. It comes as a full-sized bottle and it is perfect for my sensitive skin. There is no alcohol smell like other make-up removers and it is not harsh on my skin. It works great on removing my make-up and I also use it as my daily cleanser. I do not need to scrub my face, just wipe with a cotton pad. It does not dry up my skin, instead it leaves my face feeling clean and refreshed. I would definitely recommend this product.

I received this product for review as part of the Product Review Club.

I had long been interested in trying out a micellar cleanser as I've heard a lot about them - gentle, one-step cleansing that can even remove makeup! Unfortunately, I did not find this product to be worth it for me. While it is certainly gentle, I did not find it to be as effective as I would have hoped. I have combination skin which can be subject to hormonal acne - this may work better for a different skin type or for someone with different concerns (mine are acne control and anti-aging at the moment).

On the positive side, this is easy to use (just put some on a cotton pad and rub over your face), does not have much of a scent, and is quite gentle (CosDNA shows only one potentially troubling ingredient - hexylene glycol, rated a 2 as an acne trigger and a 1 as an irritant). I did not have any breakouts or reactions to this product. While the packaging claims that this can be used to remove makeup and cleanse skin without any other steps, I found that I was most comfortable using it in the morning when I simply had to remove my nighttime moisturizers and sleeping pack. The price is also, in my opinion, quite reasonable.

On the down side, this did not work well at makeup removal. At all. My eye makeup wouldn't budge with this product so I quickly returned to my double-cleansing method (an oil cleanser and then a foaming one) for the end of the day. While it did feel gentle on my skin, it also left a bit of a film (likely the moisturizing effect?) which made my skin feel less clean. It certainly didn't strip my skin. . . but it also didn't feel 100% clean and fresh either. While I didn't mind this in the morning, at the end of the day, I want all the day's grease and grime off my face so I can do my nighttime routine without the worry that I will have a breakout the next day.

Ultimately, I don't think micellar waters in general are something that I will use in the future - they just don't seem to fit what I look for in my skincare. If you don't wear much makeup and / or don't have much time to dedicate to your skincare (this might be great at the gym?), this type of product might be a better fit for you. Even so, I would be interested to know how this stacks up against other similar products - this didn't wow me enough to understand why micellar waters are becoming such a craze so maybe there are simply better ones out there? I will stick to what works for me and my skin.

I received this product for review. I've been using makeup removing oil to remove my makeup, thought it'd be a great opportunity to give something else a try. I've only tried this product once and decided to go back to my oil-based removers-- this product does not get rid of my eyeliners (which is non-waterproof) at all! I tried leaving it on for at least 30 seconds with the cotton pad before wiping it off, and it still would not work. What I ended up using this product for, is a face cleanser during the day, which works GREAT! It gets rid of oil and dirt, without the need to wash your face. It does not irritate/dry out my skin like most sheet wipes do, and it's more effective than oil absorbent sheets, because it gets rid of the dirt as well! (you can actually see the brown patches on the cotton pad)
I would definitely repurchase this product, not as a makeup remover, but for a face cleanser!

This is a very gentle makeup remover that works not only for your face, but for your lips and eyes as well. It's very easy to use and I love that it doesn't irritate the skin or smell harsh. There's no smell at all actually! It's as simple as saturating cotton pads and lightly pressing on your eyes or lips, holding for a few seconds and then gently wiping away. The same goes for your face. It's not rough on the skin, and it does a pretty good job at removing traces of makeup. It's not the best for waterproof eye-makeup, but works well for pretty much every other kind of makeup.

*I received product for review purposes. However, all views and opinions are genuine and my own.

According to the packaging, this all-in-one cleansing water is engineered to remove make-up, cleanse, and refresh the skin without rubbing or rinsing. Being a mom of three, I was pumped to receive this product from Garnier through ChickAdvisor for review.

After a carefully orchestrated evening of basketball practice, soccer games, and gymnastics, I'm sometimes just too exhausted to get back to wash my face once my head hits the pillow.

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water solves that problem. I keep it next to my bed with a package of cotton balls so its easy to reach on those nights where I just need a quick cleanse. I love that it's all-in-one so I'm not juggling multiple products on my night table.

The product comes in a generous 400ml size and is very gentle. It looks and feels like I am putting water on my face and doesn't have that harsh alcohol scent that I get with my toner.

Despite this, it still does an effective job of getting right down to the pores and removing all traces of make up and dirt. It's very refreshing and left my skin feeling hydrated without that sticky residue you get from other cleansers.

For a morning cleanser, I would prefer to see a mattifying version of this product, but overall Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water is a great new alternative for your bedtime routine at a price point lower than most other micellar waters on the market.

I got this for free through the Product Review Club (which also came with the Garnier SkinActive Hydra-Gel moisturizer, blueberry jam tea, and a cup that says 'Wake Up Be Awesome Repeat')

I REALLY LIKE THIS PRODUCT - not because of what it is advertised to do (ie: remove make up off your face), but what I was able to do with it. I left make up stains in the collar area on my white shirt when I was changing and was really depressed that I couldn't seem to remove it. Being the science-y / nerdy person that I am, I knew micelles are part hydrophobic & part hydrophilic - making it a great detergent & cleaner. I TRIED IT ON MY SHIRT AND WOW !! It's almost like new ! (Not quite perfect, but it's not very noticeable if you never knew it was there)

In terms of the removing make up off your face ... I'm not too much of a fan. I think this is best for people who use light make up everyday (ie: just powder & eyeliner). I use liquid foundation everyday, and it took me 3 cotton swabs to remove 90% of it - and by the end of that, my face was pretty striped and red. The worst is with mascara. Never had any luck getting that off without a hard rub and leaving a big mess all around my eyes.

Overall, I wouldn't say I am a huge fan of the product. I already have a make up remover I prefer to use (Shu Uemura facial cleansing oil). I was VERY impressed with the size. It's a very generous bottle but I think this will only be great for cleaning off the mistakes you make with your eyeliner and removing those make up marks on your hand after a trip to Sephora.

I received this product from ChickAdvisor to try and review. And I am really happy with it.

I have tried other makeup removers and never felt that they really cleansed my skin. But this micellar water not only easily removed every bit of make-up, it left my skin feeling really clean and soft. There is no rubbing involved and it did not irritate my eyes like some cleansers do. There wasn't even any tingling like there can be with an alcohol cleaner or toner. No leftover film or a need to splash water on my face to rinse. This is something I will purchase myself after this trial bottle is gone.

I got to try Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as part of the Product Review Club. I love how quick and easy it is to clean your face. Perfect for when you're tired and need to remove your makeup before bed. You just squirt some on to a cotton pad and wipe over your face. I could feel my skin tingling after wiping over my face. It was a nice fresh feeling. I would recommend this product to family and friends.
