Sweet & impactful
I love the concept of reducing waste and this is a great way to start. The scent is very subtle & not overpowering which is a bonus. I haven’t used a plant based shampoo but I was impressed with this shampoo bar.
Great product but heavily scented
I love that the packaging is recyclable and that the bar itself is plant based. The shampoo bar lathers nicely and my hair did feel really nice, however as someone who is very sensitive to scent, this was a little bit overwhelming for my nose. On day 2 after washing the smell was quite pleasant because it had faded a lot. I would recommend this to anyone who isn’t sensitive to smells!
Garnier shampoo bar
It doesn't suit me. It has a really nice smell lathers up good. It made my scalp dry and my hair is dry and knotty. My son used it also and the same with him.
Pretty good for bar shampoo
I find most bar shampoos drying and I have complicated hair that is both greasy AND dry. This is a nice choice for bar shampoo, its not overly drying (I do need a good conditioner after) but it cleans well. The smell is strong in the packaging yet it doesn't linger. I appreciate the lack of plastic packaging waste and how little shampoo you end up using. All in all, a nice product!
Compact and effective - will last a long time!
I recieved this product from chick advisor for free for reviewing purposes. This shampoo bar is a great innovative idea. It lathers really well and easily. My scalp and hair feel super clean and refreshed. I love how compact and spacious this is in the shower compared to big jugs of shampoo. The price is fair as it will last a while. I also enjoy that the product is plant based.
The Shampoo Bar - a new form of shampoo
I received a free Garnier Whole Blends Shampoo Bar to try in exchange for a review of the product. It was the IOat Delicacy one designed for delicate hair. I have no complaints about it. It had a subtle aroma. It lathered up nicely and did just as good job of cleaning my hair as any shampoo I have tried. It left my hair feeling soft and natural feeling. It is a really convenient form of shampoo. You no longer have to worry about a bottle of shampoo accidentally opening up in your luggage and leaving a mess.
Eco-Friendly = Yes! Tangle free = No :(
I love eco friendly ideas as much as the next person in this warming climate, and I am all for new products and companies making a point of being eco friendly. I have been selected to try the shampoo bar, Oat Delicacy, and much to my excitement I have to say, meh! I love that this is a new(ish) idea from big companies that we all know and love and putting it all out there that they are for the planet! Going eco-friendly is a big thing in my house. However, I found the product itself just wasn't doing it for me. I have straight long, (like nearly to my bum long) hair, so using it two to three times to lather in my hands to get my whole head covered in suds is typical, but I can only imagine what it would look like if my hair was long AND curly. The smell is fantastic. It's got that going for it. But, it tangles. A lot. It would be nice if perhaps there is a conditioner bar that would one day accompany the shampoo bar.. (hint hint, nudge nudge @ Garnier) I can totally get behind the idea of less plastic, more useable soap, recyclable boxed items, plant based ingredients etc. But it has to be able to work. If you have short hair, it would likely work okay. It does work but would strive for on the go for camping or travelling. It hasn't made me itchy, but it also hasn't cured any dandruff either. My husband used it and likes the eco ideals behind it but wasn't all that impressed either. Perhaps another line for of other smells is also needed for a different market. I could get behind tear-free bars for kids, or other fabulous scents liked by all. Overall, it works. Just like the next soap. But beware the tangles. Looking forward to some more products and maybe some conditioner bars, or 2-in-1 bars. But great job hitting the eco-friendly side Garnier! Way to take initiative!
Not for me
I received this free to try and wanted to love it so bad, but I can't. I love the idea of a shampoo bar. I gave this a few tries, but it didnt like me. The scent of the bar itself is super strong, but leaves little to no scent after washing. It lathered up nicely for a bar, rinsed well. However, while my hair seemed slightly soft, it wasn't super soft. Normally I have pretty shiny hair and this seemed to dull it a bit. Lastly, the product itself didn't agree with my scalp as I had a slight reaction to it. I would recommend other to give it a try though, as it may be great for someone else.
A new habit for a greener planet
I was super happy to receive this product, as I have been wanting to try a shampoo bar for a long time. This one from Garnier smells really nice and it lathers surprisingly well. I used it on my shoulder length hair and my son used it on his short hair. We both noticed that it was easy to rince. Now, we just have to adopt this new habit. Thank you Garnier!
Smells great... not my thing!
New Garnier Whole Blends Shampoo bar smells amazing! While it's a fun and different experience using a bar of soap to wash your hair - the end result was that there's nothing exceptional about this product. It didn't alter my hair in a way that makes me want to buy it again (for example give it more body or a silky shine). When it comes down to it , I prefer my usual liquid shampoo over the hassel of using a bar of shampoo that requires you to store it in a container between uses. I give it 3 stars!
