Excellent
Gay Lea is my go to butter, with salt, and I stock up when on sale. I love it when I can find this butter, packages in four bars. It makes it so easy to put a 1/4 cup of butter in whatever you are baking. Otherwise I need to let the butter sit on the counter to warm up, before it can be sliced and packaged in 1/4 cup containers. It does cost a little more to buy in this convenient packaging, but when on sale, stock up and save money. I always have butter, with salt, in the freezer.
Our new staple
We were a margarine family trying to find a better option. I was excited to try the spreadable butter because let's face it - trying to spread a stick of butter straight from the fridge is a bread-ripper. The spreadable butter is tasty, a better option over margarine, and has yet to rip a piece of bread in this house. We will be buying this from now on!
Extremely convenient
I use it on my toast, muffins, and bagels. Super easy to spread. You do not have to wait for your butter to melt anymore. Just take it out and spread it.
Great
I mostly use margarine due to it being easy to spread so was excited to try this spreadable butter due to the canola oil. This has salt added to it and omega 3. The butter was soft enough that made it easy and smooth to spread on baked goods, I had it with a bagel. The taste is good and creamy. Great to use in cooking and baking.
Drooling
This butter is fantastic! I have it with some bread for breakfast and the taste feels rich in my mouth :) Really love the taste of it! Perfect! Highly recommend for anyone who likes butter and bread.
Blissfully Buttered
Last night I picked up the regular Gay Lea Spredable Butter at the grocery store. It was really easy to find in the same section as the bricks of butter.
One thing i don't like is there's no tamper proof seal on this product. I just opened it in the store to check for finger prints and I was good to go.
This morning i decided to make toast with cheese and a fried egg on top. I toasted the bread and was surprised how easy it was to spread on the toast compared to regular butter. It wasn't as smooth as the package makes it look but this was no hassle at all and it didnt rip up my bread.
I decided to give it a try with frying my egg since it has the canola oil in it and once again quite pleased with the way things turned out. My egg was perfectly cooked and it did not get those hard crispy edges.
The unsaturated canola oil doesn't take away from the nice buttery flavour and it has no preservatives, its a great source of Omega 3's, its nut free and pasteurized.
Its made with butter (milk), unsaturated canola oil, water and salt. Thats it! Nice simple ingredients your family will love.
Spreadables Lite
We buy Gay Lea Spreadables Lite for a few reasons. Spreadables is made with butter and canola oil. The taste is very good and not as salty as most regular butter is. Also it does not leave an oily film in your mouth as some margarine do. Spreadables is exactly what the product is. We take it out of the fridge and in a couple of minutes we can spread it on fresh bread without tearing the bread. In that way it is so much better than regular butter. We love this product.
Buying it weekly
great product. The best butter to have on hand for toast or sandwich’s as it is soft and spreads easily. Great taste and flavor. We buy this Almost weekly.
The best
I normally buy the hard blocks of butter and it doesn't ever taste good and I don't like leaving butter out of the fridge. Then I came across gay lea butter spreadables . it has omega 3 and has just the right amount of salt. Its always soft and spreadable . its all real. It won't get gross if you have i n the fridge for a while. Very yummy.
Butter over margarines any day
Gay lea provides the smoothest creamiest butter on the market. It's so soft and doesn't rip your bread apart when you try to spread it. Margarine is disgusting, so I'd recommend butter to anyone.
