They're ok....

I was able to try the Cheerios Maple via the free box coupon from Save.ca. I'm not sure that I would have normally sought them out to buy, but getting to try them this way was nice. They have a nice, true maple smell to them, not overpowering, and do have a nice amount of maple flavour to their taste, as well. Overall though, they are just a bit too sweet for my liking. I've been mixing a handful or two in with my go to Multi-Grain Cheerios.

Not too bad but a little to sweet for my taste

We got these to try out when they were on sale. They aren't too bad but are just a little too sweet for my liking. A little less maple flavouring would have been better as it just makes the milk too sweet at the end. Not bad for a dry snack though.

Canada's Best Friend

The news about General Mills’s new Maple Cheerios, released in Canada to celebrate the country’s 150th birthday, excited me, the syrup-sucking greedy child in me wanted more.

Cheerios has recently brought out a limited edition Maple flavour in honour of Canada's 150th anniversary of Confederation. I saw it on sale at Loblaws the other day and have just recently ordered a coupon to redeem a completely free box from save.ca. The texture of the cheerios themselves are a little bit different - a little soggier than regular cheerios but not too much so. The maple taste comes through very well but not overbearingly so. The nutritional information for these is almost identical to plain cheerios, but for obvious reasons the sugar is higher. I will recommend this to friends and am definitely going to purchase it again with my free coupon!
