Comparing this to the Neutragena body wash with salicylic acid, I found this to be more effective in controlling oil and break outs. It does have some sort of exfoliating grit, so if you don't like that then you may not like this. Obviously there are a lot of environmental/dietary/genetic contributions to oil production and breakouts, but I tried this product for 2 months after trying Neutrogena's product for about 1 month, and there was a significant difference. Plus, this was a better value.
