Pretty standard single malt: easy drinking dram.

Glenlivet is a big player in the single malt market. Second to Glenfiddich in the world, owned by Pernod Ricard (also owners of Aberlour, Braeval, Glenburgie, Glenallachie, LKongmorn and Miltonduff).

This is an great starter malt to get into.
Simple nose, light on the malt, apples and stone fruits meet a touch of perfume.
In the mouth it's a little rough, ice will settle it down if you're not a whisky drinker. Fruity and subtle, malt sweets and hard candies, touches of grass and oak char.
The finish is shorter, more sandalwood and oak spice, touches of worn oak and sweet cream.

Not a bad malt for a starter.
