I really enjoyed this book. There are a lot of surprises that keep you guessing throughout. I've heard a few people say they thought it was boring but I didn't find that at all.

Don't want to give anything away. Rarely do I recommend books because everyone's tastes are different, but I do highly advise that you read this one. If you are unsure, check it out from your local library!

It's a brilliantly crafted book. The writing is harsh and clear and analytical. I think the first part of the book was my favourite because it really dissects a relationship and how things can go wrong and crumble. The observations are really good. There are a couple of deceptive characters and brilliant hidden surprises, but I found it hard to care for the characters and there was a long period in the middle of the book where things lagged for me. I didn't love it as much as everyone else does... but I'm glad I read it. I needed to shake off that book and clear my head after it... there were some pretty monstrous actions by a brilliant criminal mind!

The ending of this book is superb!

You are constantly kept on the edge of your seat trying to find out just what is going on with Nick and Amy's marriage. If you have ever thought about seeing the movie, you should read the book first.

Nick and Amy Dunne have both lost their jobs in NYC and have recently moved back to Nick’s hometown in
Missouri to help care for his dying mother. On the morning of their 5th wedding anniversary, Amy vanishes.
There are signs of a struggle. As the police investigate, they’re frustrated by Nick’s inability to explain much of anything and the answers he does give, just aren't adding up.

The narrative switches back and forth between Nick's perspective and Amy's diary entries, which paint a VERY different picture, indeed.

THIS certainly is a marriage that has gone off the rails. Nick and Amy are two of the most unlikeable characters
I have come across in a long time. The book is dark, twisted and disturbing. The ending was a surprise. I'm not
sure how I expected it to end, but that wasn't it. I closed the book and thought; "Really. You're kidding, right?" But I
think because it ended that way....the characters have stayed with me and I find myself still wondering about them.
That doesn't happen very often. And because of that, this book will go down as a favorite.

This book had a slow start as most known kind of what is going to happen but be patient and things start getting really good. I highly recommend reading the book before going to see the movie as in the case of most books to movies, the book is much better.

Not your typical mystery formula book. I loved all the twists and turns Flynn throws at us. In my opinion, this book is very smart and original.
