Love IT!
As someone who purchases a lot of items with either clearance stickers attach or even just price stickers I have found that Goo Gone is super helpful and takes the stickies right away! Making it easier to enjoy your purchases.
Really Works
I picked some of this stuff up at the dollar tree, not sure how it would work. I decided to try it on one of my favorite shirts that got some sort of sticky candy that would not come off on it. It took a little bit of work rubbing it off, but it came off and I was so thrilled. The only thing is the after smell isn't the greatest.
Not as advertised. Highly caustic chemicals!
I recently purchased some (brand new) wheels for my car. I paid for someone to apply a ceramic coating to the wheels. The detailer used Goo Gone to remove the adhesive from the wheel weights. (I had the tires mounted before deciding to dismount them for a thorough ceramic coating application). As you can see in the picture, not only was the product unable to remove the adhesive left over from the wheel weights, it stripped the paint on the wheels.
According to the MSDS of Goo Gone Original, the active ingredient in this is Petroleum Distillates, hydrotreated light. P.D. is a great for cleaning and degreasing just about anything, but it is NOT safe for painted surfaces, much less a household cleaning product. P.D.'s are also used as paint thinners, depending on the specific chemical, but that was information they weren't willing to divulge.
I contacted the manufacturer, stating that I was looking for some compensation to have my rims refinished. They essentially told me they would refund the cost of the product, but wouldn't help me out with the rims because it should have been tested in an inconspicuous area. I told them they are marketing a product in an incredibly "shady" manner by hiding behind a no liability clause, saying that you need to apply to an inconspicuous area to test, prior to cleaning.
So let's just assume that Goo Gone is varsol, turpentine, acetone, ketone or kerosene. Now ask yourself which of those products you'd be willing to store in your home to use as a general stain or adhesive remover. Don't be fooled by the marketing on the bottle, those are incredibly caustic chemicals. There is a reason why it's advertised to remove any stain on clothes, but for the love of God, don't be wearing the clothes when you're applying the product. Remember that they aren't responsible for what this product does to the surface being cleaned because, "YOU SHOULD HAVE TESTED IT IN AN INCONSPICUOUS AREA FIRST."
Awesome!
Say goodbye to that annoying sticky residue forever. Those useless stickers on new dishes, anything plastic, tape marks from stuff stuck on a window. Just a spray of goo gone, give it a rub and you're done.
Awesome!
This works awesome! Ive used it to rid many stickers and residue left by my kids! Spray and let it sit for a couple seconds and wipe it off. It doesnt smell too bad either
Nothing like it!
I purchased this recently at dollarama of all places! Last year I used packing tape to secure my screens to my windows. My cats like to climb them and this was the quickest solution. Ive tried multiple chemicals, sprays, oils etc and nothing would remove the sticky tape. The goo gone instantly took it off!! Highly reccomend it
Goo Gone Oil
Amazing product.I love how easy it takes off sticky residue. The scent is great which is a bonus.Great price as well.I have to be sure and have a bottle handy at all times.I tried several products to remove glue left behind from stickers.Nothing works as well as this!
I always make sure I have at least one bottle in my house!
I had stickers on my fridge for far too long and when I tried to peel them off that left an ugly horrific mess that I just couldn't get rid of! I tried everything but scraping which since my fridge is black stainless I wouldn't dare! Goo gone worked instantly! I swear by it now and never go without! I always have at least one bottle in my house!
Gets the job done
I've use Goo Gone gone countless times to help remove price tags and stickers. The only thing i don't like is the smell... it's so chemically and makes me feel sick.
Gets rid of anything sticky
Last Christmas I put up a bunch of Christmas decorations onto my patio glass windows. Unfortunately the decor left behind dark sticky residue which was really difficult to get off on its own. Goo gone really helped to easily get all of that nasty stuff off so I could have clear glass to look through again. I’ve also use this stuff to remove sticky residue left over from heavy duty double-sided tape that was used to hang things up on walls, it works amazingly well without taking paint off.
