Banana blandness
I was really not impressed with these muffins. Not only were they super expensive, but the taste isn't that great. They are all individually wrapped adding more plastic waste than necessary. Although I am not a fan of banana, these muffins weren't even liked by my kids. I tried to add a bunch of butter to help moisten it, but still not a fan. The natural ingredients are the only thing this muffin has going for it. Not worth it!
Did not live up to expectations.
I had very high hopes for these muffins. The packaging and appearance is excellent. The flavour was okay, but overall the muffins are dry and very crumbly. It breaks apart very easily and I found them very messy - definitely not a "snack or breakfast to eat on the go". This is a sit at the table with a plate and be prepared to lick you finger to pick up all the crumbs - there will be more on the plate that in your mouth. My teens both tried then and it was a 'NO' on repurchasing.
Although the ingredient list is impressive, overall these muffins were a miss. The texture was crumbly and on the dry side. The flavour is good, but not nearly as tasty as homemade or some competitors brands. I enlisted my two teenaged children to each have a muffin and share their feedback. "Falls into a million pieces", "I need a drink of water". Just a couple of their reactions to the muffins. That to say I doubt that I will purchase these again.
The packaging was great as they were individually wrapped for freshness and convenience on the go. I found the banana bran muffin while moist, a little lacking in taste. They were ok but as I am not a fan of them, would not be recommending them to friends and family.

Nothing Stood Out
I got a box of Good & Simple Banana Bran Muffins for a camping trip I was going on with my family. Figured it would be a good time to try them out. I really liked the fact that the muffins were individually packaged because they were easier to store and take with us. I think $4.99 for 4 muffins is kind of pricey, but I figured the taste would be the deciding factor. The first thing I noticed was the texture. It was a lot smoother than most muffins. The taste was sweeter and the banana tasted more like flavoring then real banana. I also found it had a strange aftertaste to it. It wasn't a bad muffin, it just didn't stand out from any other products. I don't think I would recommend this or buy it again. #gotitfree
I wanted to love these!
I really wanted to love these, so convenient, so full of good ingredients and a lot of what I don't want missing. Trouble is, not only were they five dollars for the box, but they were not very tasty.
I was really happy that they were moist, dense and individually wrapped. I was quite shocked that for the price, there were only four muffins.
They seemed to be a quality product, and I was proud to have them on the counter at checkout. A smart, healthy purchase. #GotItFree for this review, but hoped this would replace all those fast food muffins full of so much I need to avoid.
Sad to say, not likely.
Okay, but nothing to write home about
After having a rather hard time finding these. I finally found them a few weeks later hiding in the bakery (I had previously seen this in their own huge display, but clearly they ran out). A plus about these is they seem very fresh. They also don't have too strong of that artificial banana taste I can't stand... but I can still taste a bit. I was also hoping for a stronger bran flavour but unfortunately I couldn't taste any bran. Where I got mine they were 4 muffins in a box for $5. They are relatively small muffins and honestly they were nothing special. Between the taste and the cost I would not buy these on my own. The nutritional information on here is also a little bit concerning..... these are tiny muffins with just the same amount of calories and fat as a regular large muffin from Starbucks or Yim Hortons. I was happy to have tried, but would not buy again.
Meh
I heard about this through friends that have tried and so far it just hasn’t worked for me the flavour is not there and it doesn’t have enough protein
Price and Quantity play a role, indeed!
This one i liked more than the fruit and fibre muffin, this one i found was more to my tastes whether i had it with tea or coffee. But i needed to eat it with a drink because it was a little too dry still.
One of the big factors into my decision on buying products are the price, i know i got to sample this, and even so it was on sale for $2.50...but when i saw the regular price of $5.00 for a set of 4 muffins, i thought it was a little outrageous, I understand this is a lot more healthy, and I'm all about good health. But my husband and I are on a budget, and we plan to have kids in the future, and one of the thoughts that came across my mind is "would this be a snack i would purchase for my kids to take to school?"
Unfortunately my thought was if its $5.00 for a pack of 4, I would have to say no. I rather either bake my kids muffins, or buy a set of 6 for $5.00, and give them carrot sticks on the side to be healthy.
I don't want to be a hater, but i do want to give an honest opinion.
Not For Me
I #gotitfree and I was excited to try Banana Bran Muffin. It came in a set of 4 and they are each individually wrapped. This makes it easy for packing and sharing with friends and family. Unfortunately they do not taste as good as they look. There is an odd after taste. It almost taste like Banana flavored medicine. I don't know what is causing this odd taste but it is there. Because of the after taste I would not buy this. I like the idea flavour and that natural simple ingredients are used. I just didn't like the taste.
