Simple Maybe...

I received a coupon from the Chic Adivsor product review club to try the Good and Simple Blueberry Muffin Bars and thank goodness I didn't pay for them!
With barely any flavour these muffins were starchy and mealy with a chemical after-taste and after getting through one of them for the purpose of this review the remaining 3 from the package were thrown into the garbage.
I hate giving bad reviews to products (especially when I get them for free) but if I can save someone a few bucks by telling my honest opinion then I will do what I have to do.

I would not buy this product again

I didn't find these bars to be very tasty more bland and dry. Easy on the go snack just wish they were not so dry. Not sure if it had anything to do with not having an expiry date or not.

Average processed store bought bakery item

I redeemed my coupon to try these snack bars for free from Chickadvisor.

They are a nice size to throw in your purse for an emergency snack and they are individually packaged, which is nice, but that is about as far as the benefits went in my mind.

They have a dry and crumbly texture that is pretty messy to consume. There wasn't much in the way of blueberry flavor and I found the bits of oatmeal on the top "scratchy" to chew. They have a delicate sweetness, which is nice and not too overpowering. Not much oatmeal flavour either. There really wasn't anything remarkable about the flavour at all.

Overall, if you regularly buy processed snacks like this, it might not be a bad one to add to the mix, but as someone who doesn't normally buy these types of snacks, I don't think I will be adding them to my grocery list regularly.

Nope, wouldn't recommend these

I am not a fan of granola bars, so I was really hoping that these bars would be an alternative I loved.

I like that the bars are individually wrapped for on the go, and the blueberries were a nice touch that add some moisture to the bar.

Unfortunately they were dense, dry, and had a bitter taste that I did not enjoy. I wasn't impressed with the ingredients and think there are many other snacks that would be more nutritious. Also, they were very difficult to track down as I had to go to multiple stores to find them.

I got this product for free in the form of coupons that I could redeem at my local grocery store. But that proved to be tougher than anticipated. The e-mail notifying me that I was selected said I could redeem the coupons at any FreshCo or Metro location. I had to go to three grocery stores to find this product. Each store I went to had a big empty shelf and 1 box of either muffins or bars (never the kind I needed). I ended finding it but the best before date was for 2 days later...so I was a bit bummed to get a less-than-fresh product but I was tired of going from store to store. I did not love this product- the bars are a soft, cake consistency which I typically like but this bar was somehow very crumbly and actually a good portion of the bar had crumbled away already in the package making it not so visually appealing. I also found it to be a bit stale tasting...but again this could be because it was a box that was on the cusp of expiring. The nutritional facts leave much to be desired- for a brand that clearly boasts that it is "good and simple" I found the ingredients list long, the sugar content very high, and the fibre content low. This basically is a mediocre cake disguised as a "healthy" breakfast or snack food. I am a Registered Dietitian and am always looking for healthy, easy to grab and go food items that I can recommend to my clients, but this will definitely not be one of them. Overall, I did not find that this product met the availability, taste, quality, or nutritional value that I would look for.
