That's a pass
these were ok. Nothing special and a bit bland. My kid didn't even eat them. I am glad that they were free and I won't be buying them again. They seem like good quality but overall...mehh!
Not 100% Sold
I'm not 100% sold on the brand and the product they are selling... I wouldn't normally buy a pre-made backed good like this due to the added preservatives and increased sodium (additional form of preservatives). The sodium was high at 8% for a small, 40g portion. I found these were good for days I was on the go, forgot to eat and needed a quick fix. I didn't like the packaging because the ingredients list highlighted in bold all the "Good&Simple;" ingredients while the other "not so good" ingredients were left normal in hopes no one would notice?
I really wanted to like these as a quick fix between meetings or while travelling but I can't buy them knowing the other ingredients. I would have loved for the company to keep it "Good and Simple" with natural/wholesome ingredients. I would much rather make a big batch homemade and freeze them to take out when I needed them.
Price Point- I found this was average/comparable to other pre-packaged baked goods. $3.50 for 5, 40g bars.
Would choose other Good & Simple products before this bar
Overall, I wasn't too impressed with the bar. The orange/cranberry taste was good, but the bar was quite dense and dry. Also wasn't a fan of the flax seeds on top of the bar. Have tried other Good & Simple products which I preferred.
Not a big fan
So I like the softness of this bar but I'm not a big fan of the taste can't really pin point what exactly it is but I think it's the little seeds the texture is meh lol the subtle orange flavor isn't that great. im not sure if the orange raspberry r the best mix for one another. Maybe I would recommend it if it was a different flavor but this one not so much well actually maybe to my friends that r into these types of bars but not everyone. I will not be adding this to my morning routine lol . But thank u for this sample and opportunity to try! #GoodandSimple #Gotitfree
Good and simple cranbrerryand orange flax bars
I had the opportunity to try these bars with a full value coupon from chick advisor! #gotitfree. The overall texture and moodiness of the bars were great however I was not a fan of the cranberry orange flavour. I will definitely give another flavour a try!
was ok
The positive was these bars were easy to find in the bakery section at Metro. I found the bars dry, I didn't really like the taste of them, maybe the other flavours would have tasted better.
Good soft bar, but...
They are a very nice alternative to boxed bars because of the soft texture and option to heat for a fresh baked taste. But the cost is high. $5 for 5 bars is a little steep for a family of 4 where everyone would eat them. Alternatively I could bake a pan of bars for less.. and while the individual packages are good for travel the waste is concerning as well as the short shelf life.
Good & Simple Cranberry Orange + Flax Individually Wrapped
I found these bars to be tasty but a little bit dry. I am going to take a bar with me to work each day because they come per packaged individually and it is very convenient to do so. You get 5 bars in one box for $4.99 and you can find these in the bakery aisle. I got mine at Metro and it was on a shelf closest to the actually bakery counter. They do not use any artificial colour or flavours, they use 11 grams of whole grains per each bar and it is made with real cranberries and oranges. There are 22 grams of carbohydrates and 120 mg of sodium per bar. One employee was telling me that she purchases this product for her father with diabetes and he enjoys them. Overall, I am glad that I #GotItFree and was able to test it out.
