    Yes I will buy again

I received the bars free to review. I found the bars handy and easy to pack. The individual package ensures freshness and great taste to the last bite. The walnuts and whole grains were visible and provided a great balance to the remaining ingredients. They were both crispy and moist with no artificial taste.

    Quick "on the go" Bar

I #gotitfree from Good & Simple and Chickadvisor Product Review Club.
I got them at Freshco in the bakery section. The "best before" date was 3 days later.
Each bar came individually wrapped in the box, which made it very convenient for throwing into lunches or taking as an "on the go" snack. These bars were soft and moist and had a lovely flavour with a hint of maple and real walnuts on top and inside. They were not too sweet - just right for me. My husband loved them!
They came in a box of 5 for $4.99 plus tax, which I found to be a bit pricey. The ingredients were OK and included whole grain whole wheat flour, rolled oats, walnuts, raisin paste and real maple syrup -- they do contain palm oil margarine, which I usually try to avoid. A bar (40 g) contains 150 calories with 6 g of fat (2 g of saturated fat), 4 g of protein and 2 g of fibre.
I would buy them again, but probably when they were on sale.

    Would buy again!

The bars are much less messy than the muffins and equally delicious! They tasted like what I imagine maple walnut ice cream would taste like if it were in bar form. I wasn't able to finish them by the best before date but found them to still be moist and flavourful a few days past.

    Not too attractive

I found the bars in the bakery isle which was not expected. The bar inside the package didn't look attractive as the box was slightly damaged and the bars looked broken. Regarding the taste was not too bad had a nutty flavor and hint of maple syrup. Actually i was not a fan. The price was not attractive.

    yummy healthy nutty bars !!!

They were very yummy !!! Soft not crunchy. The size was a bit smaller than what i would have expected from a snack bar, can replace my snack bars for sure as a healthy alternative. It would be great if it had more protein though. I could see myself buying more of these in the future.

    This bar needs a do-over

These bars look good but the taste is practically non-existent. You can taste the walnuts but everything else is so bland. The creators of this bar need to go back to the drawing board and give it some more input. I would not be using these bars in my snack kit and would not recommend them either. The ingredients are decent but the taste is lacking. Also the price seems high-$4.99- for a snack bar.

    Good quick snack!

    #gotitfree from chick advisor
These little bars were a nice quick snack. They had a nice taste and a good chewy texture. They were dense enough so they did not fall apart. The texture reminded me of a Newton cookie. At 150 calories, you don't feel like you've endulged or feel guilty. It's just the right size snack to get you by.
At around $5 for a pack, they seem a bit expensive for what they are. It will not be part of my regular shopping at that price, but maybe a once in a while purchase.

    Just okay

Please note that I have received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club.

I was asked to review the Good & Simple Walnut + Grains (with a touch of real maple syrup) bars. The first hurdle with those was finding them which proved to be difficult as it seemed like we could find every possible flavour of muffin and bar, but not the right one. We finally managed to get a pack yesterday, so one day before the review deadline and one day before their expiry date.

I was not looking forward to those almost expired bars after having tried the muffins that still had a lot of time on them and did not feel fresh nor taste good. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the bar a lot more than expected, but again, my standards had been lowered quite a bit following the muffins.

While the taste is okay - nothing to write home about - I feel the same way I do about the muffins meaning I do not feel there is anything good nor simple with those products. In this case, we are talking about a 40 g cereal bar that contains 6 g of fat, 20 g of carbs, 8 g of sugars and only 2 g of fibre. Why even put the word "grains" in the title if it has little to no fibre? Also, as mentioned for the other product, I don't care for the way the company listed the good ingredients in bold and the not so good in regular characters, it kind of makes you wonder if they think most customers are too dumb to read the entire list and will be satisfied with what is in bold. I have to say, I almost found this to be a bit condescending.

So the taste is not too bad, the freshness is lacking, the price seems a bit high compared to similar products and it is not nearly as healthy as they would like us to believe.

    Perfect Bars for Snack Time

I was able to sample these bars for free through Chickadvisor. I like that they are nutritious, less sweet than most goods at the coffee shop and it is very filling. They also didn't skimp on the nuts which offers a lot of nutrition on its own.The only thing I did not like was the hint of maple syrup - it just had a lingering taste that I'm not a fan of. I also think the bars could use some dried fruit to add to the flavor department. Even though I #gotitfree I would buy this in the future.
