Took a bit to get the hang of using them. They do work and stay in hair very well. Sometime to well. They are great if you have long hair that needs extra pinning to stay up.
I have thick wavy hair and the spin pins are amazing. They hold my hair in place with very little fuss. They stay in place all day and do not require an adjustments. My fav for hot summer weather
Love these!! I have had mine for about a year and they are indispensable! I went out and bought another pair just in case I can't find my first pair! I use them almost every day. My chignon stays in all day and if I don't take them out at night, they are still there!! I have shoulder-length straight hair.
I am shocked at the poor reviews! Looks like not everyone has had the same experience.... Too bad. They are great for me!
I really didn't like these at all. I found after about 20 mins they have spun their way out of my hair in normal wear. They didn't hold even if I used hairspray and styling products.. dissapointed for what i paid for them.
For the life of me, I couldn't get these pins to stay in my hair. They kept sliding out, and coming loose - It was almost impossible for me to style my hair with these, even when using TONS of products. So not for me!
My younger sister actually got me hooked on these. They're really easy to use as the instructions outline and it works on my long hair- especially when it's not freshly washed so that there's more texture in my hair. I do recommend these since putting a bun in my hair without these would involve a whole lot more effort than these Goody Spin Pins.
I love my Good Spin Pins! I use these all the time and I am still blown away by the variety of styles that I can do with these pins. Normal bobby pins always have trouble staying in my hair, but I have never had done of the spin pins slip or fall out. The price was great, they work like a dream, and they help me to have as many good hair days as I want!
I've had these for a few months now, and still haven't gotten the hang of these. I'm not giving up yet, though!
I really do think these pins can keep your hair in place for at least a little while - it's just a matter of where you put them in place, how you make the bun, as well as how long and how thick your hair is.
My hair is kind of thick, and was pretty long until recently - now it's a little bit past my shoulders. I think this is partly why I have such trouble getting these to work.
Overall even though it's somewhat disappointing, I'm glad I have these to play around with, and hopefully get to work properly for me someday soon! I do recommend trying them out, because I'm sure they work well for lots of other people.
I have straight, long hair just past my shoulders. I like to switch up my hairstyles so wearing it in a chignon is a nice change. When I saw the Goody Spin Pin in the hair accessories and read on the package that all you had to do was gather your hair at the nape of your neck, twist into a tight bun and spin the two pins into your hair, I thought it looked stylish and easy so I would try it. When I got home I followed the instructions and it was easy to do and I went about the house gathering laundry but within five minutes it fell out of my hair. So, I tried again and put some styling spray in but my hair kept coming loose in sections from the pin. When my friend came over, I had her try putting it in my hair to see if I was doing something wrong. She put in the two pins, one from the top and one at the base and it did not fall out but many strands of my hair came loose resulting in a very messy chignon that I didn't like.
I gave them to my friend who has shoulder length, curly thick hair and it worked for her. It gave her a chignon that lasted for hours so she was pleased with them.
So, in my opinion, it didn't work on my straight long hair, but worked on my friends, curly hair. I can't recommend it as it didn't work for me as it did not stay in my hair nor provide a style that I liked.
I recently purchased Goody Spin Pins to help me achieve the bun look. I have long, thick hair and find it difficult at times to get my hair to stay up without feeling heavy. These pins did just the trick! They are a little pricey but well worth it. The pins have allowed me to wear buns to school without having to worry about the number of times I would need to fix my hair throughout class!
