I have never heard of a powdered primer before let alone a product that both primes and sets. this is a 2 in 1 product which is great if your travelling (less to carry around) I got this for free to review as a #GOSHGoddess and i am very happy I was chosen. This product is amazing!! It kept me matte all day throughout work and I have quite oily skin espically in my T-Zone and this helped with not getting shiny throughout the day. if you have oily skin like myself I would definitely recommend you pick this up.
I didn't know what to expect from this product cos im used to using a liquid for a primer. I applied t with my big stipple brush, I must admit I hate the container, im a clutz when it comes to these loose powder containers but that's my fault. but got the powder on my brush eventually!! liked it went n nice and light, I kind of wasn't sure how much i needed to put on and then I di my usual liquid foundation and then set with the powder again to finish. It looked totally great, didn't feel like I had three layers on, nice and light and flawless!! and seemed to help my make up stay and was less greasy at the end of the day which sadly hd makeup forever tends to leave you. Good price too!
I was picked to review GOSH Prime'n Set Powder
I have never used a powdered primer before, so I was a bit skeptic about it. The packaging is basic, once opened it has the choice to open or close the holes up.
Pros: The powder if fine and soft, even though it's white it goes on smooth and blends in. Sets really well and doesn't clump or come right off. I was so happy to see it didn't have a shimmer to it. I used it both as a primer and a mattifying powder. The powder gets rid of the shine and you don't have to worry about getting a shimmer/glitter effect in it's place, it's unscented and It's very easy to use!
Cons: I don't have anything really to say bad about it, maybe make the container more attention getting? , but really it's an awesome product and everyone should have this in their make-up case!
I received this as part of the #GoshGoddess product review- This primer is AMAZING! This is the first primer to actually do as advertised! I have combination/sensitive skin and it's really difficult to find products that will keep the shine down without causing me to break out. Not only did it keep my foundation in place, most shine from face but it also helped to keep the rest of my make-up in place too.
This stuff is awesome. I've heard about priming and setting powders like this before, and I was always skeptical. Until now.
I simply dust this on my face after applying my concealer and foundation, and it keeps me practically shine-free until lunchtime. I will be using this stuff forever and ever (amen) from now on.
I know Make Up Forever makes something similar, but who wants to pay $50 when you can get it at a reasonable price
I used to always skip primers but I started using them about a year ago and realized they really do make a difference with how my makeup wears, especially in the summer or when it's humid out. I have combination skin that gets shiny in the T-zone.
I was excited to try this one out but I think it's quite average and I would not buy this again. This is a powder type primer that can also be used as a finishing powder. You need to apply this with a light hand. I found it did seem to keep the shine at bay, but I prefer the liquid format type of primers for smoothness. I also like my products to do double duty and there are others on the market that include SPF/sunscreen so it saves a step and offers extra protection. The GOSH one does not have that benefit.
Given the selection of other primers on the market, I don't think this one has any major advantages so I would not personally purchase this.
(Note: I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor product review club).
I have read many reviews in particular to women of colour and was ecstatic to have the chance to sample and review it myself. #GOSHGoddess #OhmyGosh
I have combination skin and at times a very shiny T-zone, so finding products to set my makeup can be challenging at times as not all products are intended for women of my skin tone. I tried the product with both my bbcreams as well as my foundations (pressed, loose and liquid ). The effect it had was amazing, matte and no shine.
I think the way to go with this product is to use it sparingly, a light dusting is all that is required. In between your moisturizer and before your bbcream and a little after it has dried is how I applied it but only a light dusting each time. To add too much only makes your skin look ashy (a plight one with dark skin and ill matched foundation can have).
Same thing with foundation, just like you are painting your nails allow each application to dry, it is worth it in the end. In this application I put it on after moisturizer, and primer gel; a very light dusting and just on the t-zone. I then did an application of my foundation and blush then set it with the prime and set power (light dusting) again.
I would reccomend it for women of colour, however with a light hand; a little goes a long way. Carrying around blotting papers is your best bet as it won't lift your makeup off your face.

I received this as part of the #GoshGoddess product review- O.M.G. this primer is AHMAZING! This is the first primer to actually do as advertised! I have combination/sensitive skin and it's really difficult to find products that will keep the shine down without causing me to break out. Not only did it keep my foundation in place, most shine from face (had to reapply only once as it was a hot day!) but it also helped to keep the rest of my make-up in place longer too!
GOSH just earned a loyal customer!
Seriously? This stuff is awesome. I've heard about priming and setting powders like this before, and I was always skeptical. I have really oily skin, and no powder has ever been able to help control that — until now.
I simply dust this on my face after applying my concealer and light powder foundation, and it keeps me practically shine-free until lunchtime. I don't think you understand what a miracle that is for me. I will be using this stuff forever and ever (amen) from now on.
It's also a great price point for what you get. I know Make Up Forever makes something similar, but who wants to pay $40 when you can get it at a waaaaay more reasonable price (and for the same quality)? Sold, sold, sold.
I received the powder along with other GOSH products for testing and review. First off, I have combination skin with very little skin issues. I have tried primers in the past but I was amazed. It was easy to apply, went on smoothly and left my skin looking flawless! On the really humid days, my usually oily spots were not as shiny. I even used the powder on my lids as a primer for my eyeshadow which made it last throughout the day.
I will continue to use it and will look into buying another once it is done. It's a keeper!
Of all the four products I received with the #GoshGoodness producct review, this was my favourite!
I have oily skin and normally wear a powder to help with the shine. This powder blended in well with my skin, really absorbed the oil of my skin and didn't leave any oily, cakey residue after a few hours as other products have. This product lasted longer than any other products I have tried or used. This product has easily become my new powder that I will continue to use!
Daily, it left my skin feeling almost silky and soft. In the humid weather, it didn't begin to melt or become cakey, and still kept my skin feeling moist but not oily. I also did not find that it clogged my pores, or reacted with my skin as I do have sensitive skin already. Absolutely loved the powder!
