Have been using this for a few weeks and have really been enjoying it! I have used it as just a setting powder but have also tried using before and after (prime and set) my makeup. I didn't really see much of a difference when I used it before my makeup and as a setting powder after foundation as compared to just using it as a setting powder, but regardless of how often I use it in my routine, I find that it does make my makeup last longer on my oily skin. It does help to keep the oils at bay (though I still do get a bit shiny as the day progresses, but I expect that, and this does help a lot with the shiny-ness). And it really makes my skin feel soft somehow. I have used the NYC setting powder, Catrice pressed powder, and Make Up Forever pressed setting powder, but the Gosh Prime 'n Set has to be my fave so far! Highly recommend it!
This is the best Powder ever !!! Really... from morning to evening, my makeup stay put... perfectly !!! It's my miracle Prime 'n set powder :)
I wasn't too keen on using this as a primer, the idea of a powder primer just didn't sit well with me especially because my skin tends to be on the dry side, BUT I tried it anyway and was pleasantly surprised! This was a great product as both a primer and a setting powder, although I feel like it would be better used as a setting powder. It gave my skin a nice matte finish without looking dry.
Love love love this! It made my skin look even and felt smooth on. I prefer powders to any kinds of liquids or anything that has a smear factor. I have been trying a few different primers and setters and this one works very nicely. It is not over or understated and dosn't make outrageous claims. It lives up to what is said!!
I only forgot to say I was very confused about the packaging and how to actually use it!! It was definitely trial and error.
I had the opportunity to review GOSH Prime 'n Set Powder from Chick Advisor.
I really liked how fine the primer was as I found that it went on really easily as smoothly and was able to provide that long lasting matte finish. I think that the only problem with it was that within a month of use I went through almost half of the container! (but I should mention that I have combination skin). Still, I quite liked it and would purchase it again.
This product works well,
It sets my make-up for the day.
I do find though it does make me feel like I have a little too much product on, but this really isn't the fault of the product itself. My routine already includes a high spf sunscreen, a camouflage concealer and a powder foundation due to my vitiligo.
I would probably skip this product but would definitely recommend it for someone that has a lighter routine.
For someone who rarely wears anything on her face other than some blush and moisturizers, this product was foreign to me. That being said, it went on super light and kept my make-up in place all day, even after training for that dreadful (cancelled) 5km run.
was given this product for free to review.
It's an alright powder. I tried doing the foundation trick that has been going around youtube lately where you put powder on after your moisturizer, then put your liquid foundation on overtop and it helps seal in everything better, but it didn't work so well for me. Perhaps I have dry skin and it just made everything look cakey and more dry.
I need to play around more with this to give it a true test, but it's just okay. I don't favour the packaging most of all because it gets everywhere, they could of done with a shut lid or a sifter or what laura mercier does with their powder products, a closure dial on the inside.
It's a fairly good product but not as nice as others I've tried. It still goes on a bit too chalky coloured for my liking. I would use it in a pinch but it wouldn't be my go to product.
