Mousse Buy!

I was provided this product for free through the Product Review Club.

I remember using mousse as a teenager and it leaving my hair very crispy and crunchy. I remember it also smelling like chemicals, it was really disgusting!

I really LOVED the scent of this mousse! It was light and did not make my hair crispy or crunchy. My hair is very fine, and doesn't style well. I was able to keep it styled all day with this mousse! I also adored the fact that it did not make my hair look flat and actually added bounce to my hair. It was a really great experience. I will be buying this product again.

Please make sure to shake the bottle though before you use it fairly well, or the mousse will come out in a very sad puddle. The bottle is also very eye-catching and looks really retro.

Make Sure You Shake It

The first time I went to use this mousse I didn't shake it and it came out in a large, liquidy puddle. I promptly flipped the can and read the instructions; shake before use. I applied it to my hair anyways and I blow dried it. My hair felt crunchy and it was clumped together.

The following day I shook it first and it came out as it should; light and resembling mousse. Again I blow dried it and still didn't have much success. My round brush got stuck in my hair and it had an odd feeling to it. My hair didn't have any extra volume and it didn't hold my style. I have tried this mousse many times and haven't found a way to make it work. Unfortunately, I won't be purchasing this in the future.

I received this got2b mouse free to try. At first glance the product is quite appealing, the funky colours are attracting to the eye. The price is reasonable for the 226gr. I found the scent pleasing and not too strong. I needed very little for my wavy hair. The mousse dispensed evenly with little mess. I noticed improvement in volume and didn't have to wash my hair for 2 days. Smelled fresh and looked clean with a nice bounce.

I didn't use mousse in the past much but have very good experience with schwartzkopf volumanic mousse. Whatever style i make it fixes it with crispy look and the fragrance is pretty cool

Volumaniac Mousse Smells Divine!

The first thing I noticed about the got2b Volumaniac Bodyfying Mousse by Schwarzkopf is how amazing it smells! It makes my hair smell fabulous! I can be sensitive to strong fragrances in beauty products but so far I haven’t noticed any negative reactions from using the Volumaniac Mousse. Along with the great scent, comes super funky & modern packaging. The colourful and sleek design of the can would appeal to anyone but I can especially see it attracting a younger demographic (like myself. Wink, wink). In terms of size, the can is quite large at 226g, which is great. The foam dispenses easily and the right amount comes out with just a short press of the button. It doesn’t spray tons of product everywhere like some other brands of mousse I've tried in the past. Or even worse, come out all watery and runny and dripping from your hand. Yuck! Nope, not this one! It lands squarely in the palm of your hand without any backspray at all and the mousse is light &fluffy;, making for the perfect consistency. It also doesn’t leave your hands feeling overly sticky after application which is another bad characteristic of many hair products. It absorbs really quickly into the hair too but without weighing it down; you’d almost never even know you put any product in it. Another awesome fact about it is that it’s affordable; at around $7 CAD it is accessible to almost everyone.

So to recap, the got2b Volumaniac Bodyfying Mousse delivers on fragrance, packaging, design, formula, price and size. Pretty amazing already, right!? But what really matters is whether it's effective or not. First, let's look at what it claims to do. It's “infused with a polymer complex and flex agent technology to provide a natural high hold with elasticity… (and) insane volume from root to tip. (You’ll) get (a) crazy boost and dramatic hold to take your style to new heights”. (Quoted from Schwarzkopf.ca) Sadly, I can’t say I noticed insane volume or any significant improvement in the look or feel of my hair after using the got2b Volumaniac Mousse (& hairspray from the same line) for almost 2 weeks. My hair smells incredible but that’s about the only benefits I noticed. However, in the effort of full disclosure, I should say that I do wear my hair up all the time so it’s hard to measure body and fullness when your hair isn’t down. Perhaps wearing my hair down and loose would have given me the intended results.

All in all, I was still really happy with this product. I was already a fan of got2b hair products and I use 2 of them (not from this line) on a daily basis already and repurchase them month after month. I love their products and I especially like that I don’t have to sacrifice quality for a cheaper price tag. I look forward to trying many more got2b products in the future and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I didn't think I would like this mousse

I haven't used mousse for a number of years and have memories of dry crispy/crunchy hair but mousse has changed. My hair was soft and the mousse held the curl. I liked the nice light pleasant scent that was not too overwhelming.

I would buy this again

I wasn't much of a mousse person in the past. I have to say that Göt2b Volumaniac bodifying mousse has changed my mind. It is nicely scented and I use it on wet hair. It doesn't crisp up or leave your hair crunchy feeling. My hair is soft after using it. I would buy this again. Thanks for letting me try this for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

I got this for free.

This mousse is great. It has a pleasant smell. I used it right before i curled my hair and it did a good job holding the curl. The formula is lightweight and didn't weight my hair down. A little goes a long way.

I'm A Newbie

I'll admit that before receiving this product I have never actually used mousse before in my life and I ended up having to ask my mom in law how I should go about using it lol
Now that I have used mousse I love it! I was a little weary that this might be more like a gel and would burn my hair when I crimp it but it did the complete opposite, it actually helped my hair keep the crimp in a lot better than it normally does and I didn't need to heat my crimper for as long as I normally do.
I tried using this mousse as a "gel" to help scrunch up my hair and create some interesting waves in it and it worked great. I'm looking forward to finding new ways to do my thin straight hair.

This was amazing

This mousse is by far the best I have ever used, it smelled great and really lived up to the claims that were on the bottle, this has become a staple for doing my hair and I have used it at least 3 times a week. The quality was amazing and I'm super impressed with its performance.
