Why do these gotta stink so bad
My dogs seem to enjoy them, buuut they're not exactly picky. I don't see any change in their dental hygiene, however their teeth were already pretty good to begin with. These treats do nothing to combat bad breath. I love my little guy but he has a mouth like a garbage dump.
Great for dogs with good teeth
Both of our dogs have been using these since they were puppies but our older dog, despite regular dental care, has shied away from them over the past year. They do tend to get a bit tough for her to chew. You can refresh them by putting stale/hard Greenies in a bag with a slice of bread overnight and they will soften right up. The teenies are the perfect size for our 2.3lb adult dog! They do work on day to day breath but only for a quick refresher and are not a substitute for daily brushing and yearly oral care/cleaning.
Great treats
My dogs breath can get pretty gnarly. I always have greenies on hand. They are the best getting rid of doggy breath and my dog absolutely loves them. She comes running when she hears the bag. She will get excited chasing her tail or start begging by reaching out her paw to shake. I do not find these "too minty" as other described. These are great treats with a purpose!
Good quality product
This product my dog really enjoyed and seems to be quite effective on her. This product does exactly what it claims to do and my dog will actually eat them which is a huge sign that they are good because she is extremely picky.
My dogs favorite
I actually recieve this because my sisters dog didnt like them , my little dog absolutely loves them though , and he can be pretty picky , he does circles non stop the moment I grab the bag
Love this product
My dog wakes up every morning jumping around like crazy knowing that he will get a greenie after he has his breakfast. There is no other treat that he loves more then greenies. His stocking this Christmas is filled with greenies.
Furbaby Fav Treat, That Freshens Breathe.
Doggie treats, that brush their teeth and freshen their breathe. Best of all worlds, and something my lil girl seems to enjoy. Sometimes it is hard to get to brushing her teeth every night, so throwing a treat that helps her teeth also helps me. Not sure about giving it everyday, but I do couple times a week between brushings.
If your dog can stomach the mint smell he may like it
I received a free sample of these in the mail,oh my I opened the package and the smell of mint was so strong almost knocked me to the floor. I have 4dogs(2of which are picky eaters) the other 2will eat anything and everything. They all came running for the treat and they all ran away from the smell
I would buy these again
These are my pups favorite bones. They can't wait to chew away on them and I like that it helps keep their teeth clean and breath fresh. I love that they are easy to find at a ton of local stores and that they come in different sizes since my pups are small.
Doggie goes crazy
My dog absolutely goes bananas for these things. When I got her last year, she was a rescue. She had just given birth to a litter of pups and was fairly malnourished and definitely in poor dental health. On top of that, she was very intolerant of teeth brushing. I don't blame her either - I mean she had just come from a shelter and prior to that who knows. Greenies were a great first step in getting her teeth back in shape while we worked to get her acclimated to the toothbrush. I gave my dog one of these every evening for the first couple of months after I got her, and I was actually shocked at how much her teeth improved over that first few weeks. The plaque/tartar on her teeth has been reduced by about 50% over the course of 4 months, and using these along with a toothbrush even gets my vet's seal of approval.
As an added bonus, my dog loves the flavor of these, and short of real meat, these are one of the highest value training reward treats I can find for her. They are easy enough to cut up into little bite sized pieces for training, so one of the regular sized bone/brushes yields about a dozen little snacks.
Oh, and did I mention the price? I have yet to find a cheaper alternative than Amazon. The local and big box pet stores carry these, but at a much much higher cost.
