The smell is everything!

Restorative Body Cream leaves my skin soft and not greasy. This body cream if formulated with shea butter, jojoba oil, and mandarin oil that absorbs easily into the skin leaving skin nourished and protected.

I love this duo for keeping my dry itchy skin moisturized in the cold winter in Alberta, Even better this duo is plant based calming and rejuvenating.

It’s a winter need

If it wasn’t for body creams I’d shower once a week, my skin is prone to drying out and gets so itchy when it does. This cream has an earthy orange scent. I loved that this cream absorbed fully and quickly, it starts off with a white cast that makes it easy to see you’ve gotten it where you want, and from there rubs in clear, leaving behind only hydrated skin with zero tackiness or oily feel. I was confident putting on my clothes, knowing I wasn’t going to end up with any stains from unabsorbed product. My skin remained hydrated throughout the dry cold days we’ve been having, and I’ll be continuing with this in my routine.

Herbal Scent

I received a full-size Grown Alchemist Restorative Body Cream from Butterly in exchange for my honest review. Although I love searching out new plant-based formulas, I'm not in love with this restorative body cream. While the mandarin scent is fresh and welcome, the rosemary leaf was too herbal for my liking. The cream promises to absorb into the skin quickly and not leave your skin feeling greasy, but I found my skin felt greasy for a significant amount of time after application, and my skin is dry, so in theory should be thirsty enough to absorb the product and not leave a greasy feeling. I will say that a little product seems to go a long way though and my skin did feel moisturized. While I won't be repurchasing, I know there are lots of people who will appreciate the herbal scent of this cream and perhaps not have the greasy feeling after applying.

Fast absorbing and moisturizing

The bottle and pump are very nice and look beautiful on my dresser. The cream is not thin nor too thick, it is a nice consistency that is fast absorbing and does not leave a greasy film on you or anything like that. I love how it smells, it's not strong at all. My only issue with the cream is that I did not experience long-lasting moisturizing properties. I was definitely moisturizing but not the level of moisturizing you need for dry-cold winter months. I can’t wait to use this during the spring or summer! Overall, I really like this moisturizing cream, however, it is not strong enough for winter months. Save it for the spring or summer

Smells good

I like the herbal scent of the body cream, although it might not be for everyone, I don’t mind using scents on the body. The cream applies easily and absorbs nicely. it is very moisturizing and great for the dry winter months. I like using this after the shower. It does not leave a greasy feeling after applying which is great. It feels like a luxurious experience!

A new favorite

I find my skin really needs more nourishment during the winter, so this body cream arrived at the perfect time.
I was very intrigued about the mandarin and rosemary leaf scent. I’ll admit, the first time I smelled it, I thought it was a bit overwhelming. I was worried that the scent would be too strong after I applied it to my skin.
Over time the scent grew on me, and I really enjoy it now. I’m finding that the scent lingers on my skin for a small amount of time, then it is pretty much undetectable. (Which I prefer.)
The consistency of the cream is just right. Not too thick, not too thin. It spreads easily and blends into my skin quickly.
It is a treat to use this every morning. My skin feels more hydrated after using it, and I don’t find it greasy at all.
This is a high-quality product, and it shows. Overall, I’m really enjoying Grown Alchemist products, and this body cream is one of my favorites.
