Thank you @grownalchemist & @thisisbutterly for letting me try this Skin defence primer! I love it! It completely blurs my pores and leaves my face very smooth with visibly decreased sizes of my pores. We can barely see them 😍
I notice it also helps with oil control as I tend to be more oily on my T-Zone it has visibly reduced the number of times I need to wipes my nose 😅
Feels like wearing a filter IRL!
Overall, my makeup stayed smooth and matte all day long! 💖

Great primer

I really love this primer, my skin looks much more even and feels super soft all day., my makeup sits on top perfectly and keeps my ski n hydrated The scent is slightly strong when initially applying but fades quite quickly.

Great pore minimizing primer

I received Grown Alchemist Skin Defense Primer from @thisisbutterly for free in exchange of honest review.

The primer claims to strengthen the skin barrier over 12 hours for the ultimate defense against environmental aggressors and pollution. It also claims to blur pores and mattify skin and it does exactly that.

I used it on my skin after cleansing and moisturizing. It is lightweight, spreads easily and makes the pores appear smaller. I did not notice any strong fragrance. I have enlarged pores and acne-prone skin. I did not get any breakouts while using it.

I have not noticed visible difference in skin barrier since I have only recently started using it.

Overall I recommend it if you want to blur the pores.

One of my favourite primers!

I am a huge fan of this primer. It is so lightweight and blends so well that you almost can't tell you are wearing any and it makes it look like you have a flawless complexion. I am totally obsessed and although I received this for free in exchange for this review, I would definitely recommend it to my BFF.

Nice primer.

love that the primer solves an annoying beauty problem: foundation drying on the skin and turning cakey as the day goes on. You can apply a little of the cream over makeup to hydrate and refresh your face. I even like the spa-like scent, which is really saying something because I’m not usually wild about skin products with fragrance. This one gives off a light hint of citrus, from grapefruit and geranium notes.

Unique Primer!

This primer! What an incredibly unique product. This is the @grownalchemist Skin Defense Primer. I am obsessed. This goes on like a blurring silicone primer but it's NOT silicone. When smoothed out it almost turns into a cooling thin veil of water on the skin. My skin feels incredible when I put this on. If you have ever used the NYX Impossible Primer this feels very similar.

Great lightweight blurring primer

Starts like a silicone (but is silicone free), quickly blends down into a cooling liquid, and feels like nothing on the skin! It gives a soft feel & smooth, blurred finish, great under foundation for a better texture and longer wear. Has a lovely clean, light geranium-bergamot scent. Natural ingredients that enrich skin barrier function and protect against pollutants make it good for travel and commuting too. Fab!

You NEED this primer!

Honestly, as soon as I saw that the product was a transparent gel, I thought it was yet another one of those silicon primers, which I'm not a fan of, since they feel quite suffocating on the skin. However, I was pleasantly surprised after I applied this primer, it immediately melted into my skin and it felt as if it had turned into water but while also sticking to my skin, if that makes any sense. It was a very unique sensation, I don't think I have ever tried a product like this before. Afterwards, you are left with very silky skin, which is perfect to apply makeup, though I think it would be even better to apply a gel moisturizer before the primer if your skin is very dry, but still, this primer does an amazing job on its own. I like using powders when I do my makeup, so my foundation is a powder and it did well with this primer, which helped a lot with skin texture and pores. I would say this primer is similar to silicon primers that control texture and pores, but way lighter and hydrating, it doesn't create a heavy or greasy film that clogs pores, it's like a major upgrade from those silicon primers, I think even better than cream primers. You would have to try it to see what I mean, trust me, you haven't tried anything like this before. The only thing that I believe needs improvement would be the packaging, I think a more flexible soft plastic tube with a narrow opening would be more efficient. Also, a little bit of product won't cover your entire face, you need to use more, but I guess that's just due to the nature of the product and how it's made. This is still an amazing primer though, I had truly given up on finding a good primer, so I think this will become my new holy grail and trust me it's hard to impress me. I recommend this so much, you need to try it at least once, my make up stays put for many hours as well, so it's not just the silky application, it also helps makeup last, just give it a try!

Love it

This primer feels so light weight, leaves my skin smooth and prepped for my makeup.
My makeup sit nicely on top and I didn’t experience any budging or creasing throughout the day.
I thought it would feel similar to silicone primers, but once rubbing into my skin it almost had a gel/watery consistency. It felt as though I had no product on my skin, and no stickiness or tackiness was left.
