The Skin Defence Primer is a really nice primer that provides coverage against environmental pollutants, and acts as barrier between the skin and your makeup.
I applied the primer to my face after doing my skincare routine and I love that it’s super lightweight and glides onto my face really nicely. It’s so silky and blurred out the pores and fine lines that typically show. This primer is also great for covering up texture on the skin and making your makeup look smoother. I would definitely recommend this primer for those who would like an elevated look.

Ce produit s'étend à merveille en fine couche qui lisse et protège ma peau. Je l'applique après ma crème hydratante juste avant de commencer mon maquillage. Laisse mes pores moins apparents de sorte que le fond de teint et la poudre ne viennent pas se loger dans mes pores. Ce produit a une odeur fraiche agréable. cool, silky primer

This primer base has a very interesting formula. It is clear, cool to the touch and almost feels like it turns into water when applied to the skin. It blends into my skin luxuriously and creates a smooth, matte base for makeup. It has a light, refreshing, essential oil like scent that doesn't linger too long. I think it helps my makeup last a bit longer and overall look nicer!

Lightweight and hydrating

I was provided with a free, full-sized sample of this upgraded formula in exchange for an honest review.

I was excited to give this primer a try, and it did not disappoint. After cleansing and moisturing, I applied a thin layer prior to my foundation. I found it was lightweight, went on smoothly and didn't cause any skin irritation. It left my skin feeling hydrated and soft. As promised, I found it reduced the look of smaller pores and helped even out my skin texture. I really like the way it made my skin look and feel.

Nice Hydrating Clear Primer

Sharing my honest review of the Grown Alchemist Skin Defense Primer. I received this free from Butterly to try! It makes a great makeup base, gives my foundation a flawless look and stays in place all day while leaving skin hydrated. I absolutely love the blurring effect this product has on my pores. I would recommend this primer.

Grown Alchemist Primer

I had the opportunity to try the Grown Alchemist Skin Defense Primer for free in exchange for review. I am so excited to add this primer to my regular makeup routine. The primer has a beautiful lightweight texture and it is amazing how it quickly blurs your skin texture and imperfections upon application. I found it could be worn alone without makeup on top as it was that effective. The primer helps to create a smooth and seamless canvas for your makeup application. I apply the primer after moisturizer but before applying my foundation and concealer products. I find that the primer helps the products stick to your skin and end up in a longer lasting makeup application which is great for those long days at the office or when you are trying to go from work to after work events and don't want to be constantly touching up or reapplying your makeup. I also found the primer to be very hydrating and nourishing for the skin which was great for me as I have dry skin.

Smoothing and blurring!

As a fair-toned person I loved this Grown Alchemist Primer for its smoothing and blurring of a blemishes and created a smooth, soft and clear surface for my foundation. It is lightweight, easily blend-able and refreshingly moisturizing. It has a cooling effect when applying which I loved as it soothed any redness on my face. Ut created a flawless base. It is resealable with a cap and doesn’t leak, a beautiful tidy design of the bottle. I received this product in exchange for a review and I highly recommend it!

Matte skin!

I love the way this makes my skin feel! The thick gel applies so smoothly on my skin and blends perfectly. It lasts all day and keeps my skin matte and protected! The smell is a bit strong but it doesn't bother me and it goes away once its on your skin. I think the packaging it very luxurious and high end feeling, however I have had bottles of skincarelike this before that have gotten damaged after a while where the product comes out of the sides, if that makes sense. Otherwise I love this product!

It all starts with primer

I recently received the Grown Alchemist Skin Defense Primer, for an honest review from Butterly. To start off with, as always Grown Alchemist has that signature touch, that they add to all their products: the smell. It is beautiful floral scent. I'm not sure what the scent is made up of, but it is a nice smell. Don't worry, it is subtle when Appling and it goes away afterwards, so no worries with working at a scent-free workplace. It is easy to apply, with not much needed for your face, which is great since I feel like I'm saving money using this and getting a lot of coverage on my face. The primer is a smooth gel like texture but works great if your starting your make up process with a matte look. i have noticed that it helps reduce the look oh my pores on my face. I end up loving my overall look, and knowing it all starts with a great and wonderful primer.

One of the best silicone-free primers I have tired

I am a huge fan of makeup that uses natural ingredients! Thanks to Butterly and Glown Alchemist for gifting me their Skin Defense Primer to test out.

I am pleasantly surprised at how good this primer is considering it doesn't contain any silicone. This is the first silicone-free primer that I have tried that actually works. At first glance the clear colour prime looks thick out of the tube, similar consistency to petroleum jelly. But once you start massaging, it melts and absorbs right into the skin. This primer has a herbal botanical scent and felt lightweight on my skin and gave a matte finish. It helped blur out the look of my pores and made my skin smoother. My makeup glides on smoothly. However, it was not as heavy duty as my silicone primers, as my makeup did not last as long during ferocious/high intensity activities.

I still love the feel and look of this primer and the fact that it contains no toxic ingredients. I would incorporate it into my daily routine for errands/light activities primer. And will still use my usual silicone primers for concerts, festivals and drunken nights out. 😅
