Perfect Primer

I was so excited to receive this primer for free in exchange for my honest review. I like that this primer is more than just a base for your makeup, it works to strengthen your skin’s natural barrier for over 12 hours for the ultimate defense against environmental aggressors and pollution. This primer does have a scent but I found it relaxing and not overpowering. I love the instant blurred and mattified finish this primer leaves. A great product to use alone or under your makeup. Will purchase this product in the future.

Smooth finnish and great scent

I have been looking for something to help my makeup last past lunchtime. I got to try the Grown Alchemist Skin Defense Primer and found it to be a great fit into my every day routine. The formula left my skin feeling soft and skily and was a great layer to add my day to day makeuo. It helped the longevity to my daily makeup as well.
The soft scent was a bonus too!

Smooth like buttah

I don't always use primers, but tend to turn to them more during the dry winter months, applying them after my morning moisturizer and before my foundation. I find that the extra boost of moisture helps my skin stay more hydrated throughout the day. The only downside to layering so many products is it can sometimes highlight larger pores and fine lines. That's why my preference has usually been to use "blurring" primers, which unfortunately rely heavily on silicones. This formula promises (and delivers) blurred pores without any silicones whatsoever. The formula is quite gentle and natural, especially when compared to other primers on the market. It includes things like mushroom extract, lavender oil, rose flower oil, grapefruit peel oil, and more. After using it for a straight week under a powder foundation (yes, probably not the best choice for the winter), I can see a noticeable difference in my makeup application and the way it holds up throughout the day. The pores around my nasal folds are less noticeable and my laugh lines do seem to be softened. I also recently damaged by hydration barrier using a particular cleanser, so have been trying to rehydrate my skin and ensure that it stays well-moisturized throughout the day. I found that this primer really helped lock in the moisture to the point that my skin still felt good and hydrated by the time I was removing my makeup in the evening. I really do like having this handy, but am not totally sure whether I'll repurchase given the price point. Yes, a little goes a long way, but at this price for a primer, I'd expect it to last me the entire year.

This product is great! So many primers say they blur and either they don't or leave behind a thick layer of silicones that don’t do anything good to me skin. This one does. It isn't a filler but it is a topical blur that is quite lovely. It looks like a thick balm, but goes on smoothly everywhere on your face. You really don’t need more than a large pea size to cover your face. The smell is light and fresh. The cooling quality when applied to skin feels refreshing. It feels like I put a cool apple pure to my skin. Or like a cooling silicone primer without the silicone. It fills in pores wonderfully. Make sure to let it dry-it doesn’t take long

Nice Primer!

This is a great primer from Grown Alchemist. I have to knock it down to 4 stars as I'm not a fan of using scent on my face. It does smell lovely and it is all natural, but it does smell like I'm putting hand cream on my face. The primer is really smooth and silky though and those who don't mind scent will thoroughly enjoy this.

WOW!!

I usually dont wear primers cuase they leave a film and make the whole make up look very cakey. But the Skin Defense Primer is a game changer. My skin felt hydrated and my make stayed in place all day. It is also great to know that this will provide me with an ultimate defense against environmental aggressors and pollution. This is a super lightweight and silicone-free primer that instantly blured out my pores and mattified the skin. I will continue to buy this and this is now a staple in my makeup routine. Absolutely love it!!!

Great primer that makes my skin feel so soft

I have been using the Skin Defense Primer for 10 days and I love how it makes my skin feel. It smooths my skin and fades lines and spots on my face. I love the light citrus scent of the primer and am using it every day! Thanks for the chance to try this lovely primer!

Works great under your makeup!

I began using this about a week ago. This primer blended so well before applying my full face of makeup!
This primer is a gel like consistency with a lightweight feeling on your face! This primer is excellent for my sensitive dry face with not a single bump, irritation or redness. Not a single breakout. This primer I've noticed has kept my face very hydrated with a softer, smoother and radiant texture. One thing I will mention about this primer is the scent is a bit on the stronger side. The scent is described as a fresh refreshing scent. Overall a great product I will continue using

Great Blurring Primer

I wasn't using primer as part of my daily routine lately but after receiving this product I have really enjoyed it! The lightweight gel smooths onto the skin nicely and blurs my pores. It is a bit tacky on the skin after it is initially applied which is great for gripping onto any makeup applied afterwards, leading to longer lasting makeup. However, the stickiness quickly dissipates after a couple of minutes and leaves skin feeling so smooth even without makeup applied overtop. I have been using this on many days where I have only been wearing concealer, mascara and brows and it makes my skin look great!

I love the scent! I can't put my finger on it exactly but it has a nostalgic quality for me.

I also love the clean ingredients that Grown Alchemist uses especially for products I use daily.
