New lovely product

I do love this it help me to blur my enlarged pores with a matte finish helping my makeup looking even better at the end result, a thin layer is enough to create a very nice look on the skin of course hydrate your skin very well then apply the peimer and boom looks stunning

Lovely hydrating primer

I really liked this primer! It applied easily and I was able to spread it with just my finger tips no problem. It feels very slippy and silicone like, which really did smooth out the surface of my skin and blur my pores. It has a light almost lemony skincare like scent that went away after application. It did make my skin feel hydrated throughout the day, and my make up did settle nice on top. It didn't enhance any of my textures or fine lines, and even wearing it alone it was nice. Very light weight, but I don't think it does well for an all day 12+ hr wear. Packaging is nice, in an aluminum tube with a plastic cap. I did find that the product dried and would flake around the opening of the top, which didn't affect my application, I just removed the little bits first. I'm a bit oily and had to set with powder afterwards still.

Absolutely amazing one of the best primers I've used in awhile I'm someone with dry skin and my dry skin shows under my makeup no matter what I've tried this help so much with that and now my makeup looks flawless

Silky smooth

I love this primer! It is so light and silky but without a oily feeling that primers like this usually leave on your skin. It is really lightweight and feels like you're not wearing anything at all. Instead of it being a lotion consistency like most primers have, it's actually more of a very light jelly texture. It went on smooth and dried invisible. The scent is pretty strong when you first apply it but it fades quite quickly. It is a botanical smell. My makeup went on smoothly over this primer and didn't budge. I use a Dewey formula so it usually fades pretty quickly but it had a decent longevity with this primer! It definitely kept the youthful bouncy skin look minus any oily residue.

Amazing at Pore Minimizing and Mattifying the Skin

A 94% naturally formulated, silicone-free primer that's fueled by adaptogens to help restore balance back into your skin and protect it from environmental stressors. Leaves skin hydrated and gives a good solid base for makeup controlling oils, minimizing pores and fine lines, and mattifying the skin.

Housed in a metal squeeze tube, this opaque clear coloured, lightweight gel resembles the look and texture of an ointment but is not sticky or greasy. I'm totally in love with this primer and have tried nothing like this before. I absolutely love the blurring effect this product has on my pores. When worn alone, they definitely minimize them. It also helps control the oil I have on my T-zone that I don't need to use blotting paper halfway through the day. I love how it keeps my makeup looking fresh all day long. My skin feels soft, matte, and smooth like a blurred filter effect on the skin.

Loved the hydration

I have received this @grownalchemist skin defense primer in exchange of my honest opinion. This primer is very hydrating and loved the fragrance very refreshing. It has a matte finish and covered my pores and fine lines very beautifully. My makeup stayed for more than 8 hours.

Meh

I’m not a huge fan of Grown Alchemist products. I had the moisturizer cream, cleanser and sunscreen. Non had a wow factor and neither does this primer. I still need to use a setting powder and it piles a bit on the skin. The containers eventually wear out to and the product comes out of the little holes at the bottom. Its not a horrible product but they charge way to much for what it is and that is equivalent to drug store products, its a cleaner product but there’s better options for this price. I received this one free to review.

The best primer!!

I received Grown Alchemist Skin Defence Primer from Butterly for free in exchange for my honest opinion of the product. This primer has a gel texture that is very lightweight. After application, my pores are minimized, my fine lines are reduced and my face feels a lot smoother. It has a light citrus scent. It also protects my skin from environmental aggressors and pollutants. I would definitely recommend this product.

Lovely formula, but urgh that smell!

Okay, so the hype on this one is legitimate. You get a decent amount in the tube, which happens to be metallic so you will get every last drop, this is a pro. It goes on smoothly and makes a fantastic base under makeup - another pro. It has some great claims and if they are true - a pro. The one and only con - and its a biggie - is the smell! I dont mind a little scent but this smells so strongly of lavender I worry it could cause a reaction with heavy repeated use. It also clashes with my fragrance. Also, lavender?! Why would I ever want to smell like my grandma's panty drawer? NOPE. I love this stuff, but its pricey and smells far too strong of lavender oil for my liking so for the pricetag and the scent I could never recommend this to anyone.
