Smooth as silk

I was lucky enough to be chosen to try Grown Alchemist Skin Defense Primer and right out the gate I love everything about it.
My skin looks amazing and feels amazing, leaving me feeling my youth again.
If that’s not enough it’s also silicone free.
After a week of use I definitely see and feel its benefits and have now found my favourite primer.
Application could not be any easier just put it on after your moisturizer, then finish up your makeup routine. It’s that simple and the results will have you looking fantastic.
It’s very light weight and silky leaving you with results you have to see to believe. Amazing product !!!!

New addition to the makeup routine

The texture of the primer is a thick gel like consistency but when it goes on your skin it feels very lightweight. I like how it’s a matte primer and it leaves your skin feeling very smooth and hydrated. I don't think it made a big difference in blurring my pores but it did give my skin a nice matte finish and it doesn't matter to much since I apply makeup on top of the primer. I’m not a fan of the scent that comes from the product but once I finished applying it to my face the scent had faded and wasn’t noticeable.

Exceeds expectations

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I have been using this primer consistently for two weeks now before applying my make up and it definitely makes a difference to the overall look. The primer is lightweight and absorbs easily leaving my skin smooth and my pores invisible and once I apply foundation on top I achieve a desired polished and clean look. I also like that the primer gives a matte finish look despite my oily skin. I love it !

Actually great

So first off I actually love this primer. I did get it to test but I'm likely going to rebuy it when I run out. This is rare for me because I can never find one I like and that actually does something lol. Neither of the top 3 work for me. This stuff is great, it's silky, it's hydrating, it leaves a beautiful smooth canvas for makeup applications and it doesn't interfere with them because it's silicone free (which legit shocked me since it has that look and feel at first) and I use water based foundation. Also love that it has prebiotic peptides because my skin loves a prebiotic. This primer does not have any icky texture that will drive you crazy if you are texture/residue sensitive like I am. It also has a lightly pleasant citrus smell that quickly fades away which is a nice effect. It's also a huge tube and will last forever because you only need a bead of it. I actually wear this with or without makeup just to add a little smoothness and pore reduction after my morning skincare.

Hydrating

This primer is wonderfully scented, it's light and refreshing. It's nice and lightweight, and goes on smooth. Blurs pores effectively. And keeps my foundation strong and fresh throughout the day.

Amazing Primer!

I was so generously gifted Grown Alchemist's Skin Defense Primer by @grownalchemist and @thisisbutterly in exchange for an honest review.
I'm super skeptical of primers, as my skin is so fussy. But let me say, this primer exceeded my expectations and more.
Upon initial application of this gel primer, I noticed a cooling sensation - very refreshing! I love the way it feels upon application and I can't wait to use it every day. It dries quickly and actually lives up to its claims of mattifying and blurring imperfections to create a smooth surface for makeup application.
What's even more impressive is that this primer is able to do all of this while being silicone free. Now I do use and have used primers with silicone because they generally work better than for me than those without, but Grown Alchemist's Skin Defense Primer actually works just as well as some of my favorite silicone-based primers! This is such a benefit because silicone can clog pores, which can be an issue for me.
It does not leave any sort of tacky feeling, and my face does not get that slick and greasy feeling after a long day. I am in love with this primer!

A Must Have!

I recieved this product in exchange for my honest review and I was excited to try the Skin Defense Primer! When I found the scent to be a little strong at first but it faded relatively quickly. The formula is extremely light on your skin and dried quickly. My skin felt smoother and my make up went on smooth and lasted all day. I strongly recommend this primer!

Primer with no benefits

@grownalchemist primer has recently been rebranded but has the classic brand's scent which I strongly despise. However, once applied to the skin, I don't smell it even when it's so near to my nostrils.
In an aluminum squeeze bottle with a flip top lid, the product comes out looking like standard silicone primers with a more opaque cloudy white/semi-transparent consistency. It applies seamlessly into the skin and forms a weightless barrier with no residue. It's very mattifying but does nothing to minimize the appearance of my pores so not sure about the blurring benefits for me. I very much enjoy the feeling of this primer on my skin but I personally don't see many benefits for me as I still have to apply powder after foundation if I want it to stay in place.

Blurring Primer does the job!

I trialed this primer over the course of one week, wearing makeup for a variety of time periods ranging from 3-12 hours. On application I did note that it felt super light on the skin, as if there was nothing there. It also instantly blurred pores and left my skin feeling fresh and ready for makeup application. I really liked the fresh botanical scent as well which was NOT overpowering at all! All of my makeup products reacted well to the primer and I didn’t notice any separation or patchiness once finished. Over the course of my various wear tests, I noted very minimal oiliness on my skin throughout the day and honestly didn’t even feel like taking my makeup off at the end of the day. I will definitely continue using this primer

Must-have primer to prep face for flawless look

I am loving this new name and new formula lightweight gel Skin Defense Primer which I applied after my moisturizer and before my makeup. It gave my face a beautiful flawless look after applying my makeup. This primer is not heavy or greasy. It is a matte gel which is not at all drying after application. I love the cooling effect when applying this product as well as love how the texture feels soft and silky. This professional formula instantly blurred imperfections and created a velvety smooth canvas to create a light everyday look as well as heavy party look. I had my makeup on for the whole day and loved how this primer helped with the makeup stay on long while mattyfying shine. Also, my foundation and eye makeup did not form a crease. Personally with my experience of using this product, it also felt hydrating.  Like other products of Grown Alchemist, I love the clean smell of this primer as well. For me, the scent is not too intense. A little goes a long way, so I did not need to squeeze a lot of product on my finger tip but just a pea-sized amount. Another plus point is that the packaging made it convenient for me to just squeeze the right amount of product from the tube. Thank you Grown Alchemist for always coming out with amazing quality products.
