I LOVED this skin defense primer by Grown Alchemist. It instantly made my skin feel so smooth, ready for makeup and blurred my large pores (which is a big concern for me). My makeup application after applying this primer was so smooth and it lasted all day. My skin is really oily and I love that it mattify my skin. The only thing that would make me have second thoughts before buying this again is it’s price. I removed a star because of the price otherwise is an amazing product.

Silky!

I got this for free from Butterly to try out and it's actually good! It feels so good going on, and really held my makeup in place! So sticky! I might even use this alone it was so nice, and you get a substantial amount. So happy to have this.

Best primer I’ve tried

I received this for free from Butterly to test in exchange for my honest review. I’ve tried a few primers and none really work for me. I have oily skin and large pores so my makeup melts off pretty quickly during the day. This primer went on smoothly, didn’t leave any reside or heavy feeling and kept my makeup in place for way longer than without any primer. My face stayed matte throughout the day. I will definitely buy this product in the future.

Wonderful Primer

This was such a great primer. I don't normally wear makeup, but I would use this great product on top of my current skincare regimen. I felt it did a nice job of creating a smooth and blurring appearance. I love all the natural ingredients this primer contains!

Excellent Hydrating Skin Primer

"Product received for free from Grown Alchemist in exchange for an honest review". I got to try Grown Alchemist’s Skin Defense primer for free in exchange for my honest review. This product can be used as a base for makeup or to reduce shine or oil for the skin. I have oily skin, and a product that reduces oil is something that I would love to have in my daily skincare routine. This primer also contains adaptogens such as Ashwagandha to help improve the skin barrier.
The primer comes easily out of the tube and it's very easy to apply. Go light with this one, you only need a pea-sized amount. The texture is clear and gel-like. When I applied it to my skin it just melted in and blended very well into a water-like texture. My skin looked smoother and felt instantly more hydrated. My skin was also matte and without shine. I also found it had a wonderful cooling effect on my skin. I did see a mild improvement in the look of my pores. I tried this product under my foundation and found I was easily able to apply my foundation without any piling. Excellent hydrating primer, 10/10!

A new must have in my routine

Nice primer

It is a pretty good primer. It has a gel-like texture and a nice smell. It is in a metal tube, just like most other Grown Alchemist products. When applied, it creates a smoothing and protecting layer on the skin. It reduces the visibility of pores and helps foundation lay on smoother and look more even.

Cooling feel!

This is a great primer! I don’t wear foundation, only powder and I found that this made a great difference. My powder lasted longer and it took away the shine from my moisturizer. My skin is very dry and this was not drying at all. It has a nice silky feel, absorbs right away, doesn’t feel heavy and didn’t ball up or flake. It has a bit of a cooling feel when it went on which will be great for summer. It also has a fresh scent that disappears as soon as it absorbs. I love the recyclable (non-plastic) tube too.
