Great Mattifying Primer

This is a great primer, however it did not gel with the products i used. the concealer i use is sillicone based so it did not mix well with this primer. the primer itself was really nice and light and felt almost cooling on my skin. super lightweight and if you are looking for a barely there primer, this one is it!

Smooth and silky, doesn't pill!

I was excited to try Grown Alchemist's primer. It felt very smooth, lightweight, and the formula is silicone-free. Didn't pill with my skincare, which is often a problem for me with primers. Keeps my skin hydrated without feeling greasy and blurs pores and lines. The scent might be too strong for sensitive skin since it's coming from essential oils in the formula. The metal tube is a bit tough to squeeze. I am a fan overall!

Best primer!!!

This is the best primer I ever used. I do not like too much of a green or golden undertone and this one just smoothes out pores. It also smooths the eye and frown wrinkles like a blue perfector should. Thicker than a liquid. Not pasty. Doesn’t leave a residue AND you can use it under or over make up. I’ve noticed a bothersome line on my jaw has been dramatically reduced from continued use.

Mattifies and grips makeup

Thanks to Butterly I got to try this Primer for free in exchange for my honest review. This primer has a very unique texture like nothing I've ever used before. It comes out of the tube like a thick clear gel but when you put it on it turns into a smooth slightly powdery finish. It sets pretty quickly so you have to spread it out fast. It has a blurring effect and helps cover up uneven texture. I used it under a full coverage foundation and found that it really grips the makeup so much so that I had less time to blend it out then I usually do. The key to using this primer successfully is working fast. Once it was on it helped my makeup last all day. I have dry skin and the only thing I did not like was that it made my skin feel a little tight. This could be due to the fact that I am testing it out in the middle of a cold dry Canadian winter and it's a mattifying primer. I can see this working really well for people with normal to oily skin. I can see myself loving it in the summer so I'm going to save it and revisit it then. I did like how it blurred my pores and skin texture and the velvety finish it gave my foundation. It has a light lemon herbal scent but that doesn't last for long. There is no noticeable scent by the time I finish my whole routine. I love that it has skincare ingredients like Prebiotic Peptides and Ashwagandha.

Magic in a Tube

There is some magic going on with this primer. It says that it is silicone-free, however it looks, feels and performs just like other silicone based primers I’ve used in the past. I am absolutely in love with this primer. It made a great base for my makeup and helped my makeup to last all day long. It didn’t clog my pores or make me breakout and it felt great on my skin. It made my pores less visible and helped to matify my skin without making it look dull. I definitely recommend trying this product if you want the results of a silicone primer without the silicone ingredients. I received this product to review and give my honest feedback.

Good Primer

It’s a good primer. Lightly scented with a buttery texture. Worked well under my makeup and I found my skin was not as greasy by midday. The only thing I didn’t like it would clump a bit when applying to my skin. It’s a thicker primer and you really have to rub it in

Nice primer

I like how lightweight this formulation is, it applied very nicely and under makeup. It helped my makeup last all day, even for long days. I did not find it too drying even in the cold winter months. It is great for pores and I would recommend this to others who wish to try a new primer. I did not find the formula to be sticky, there is very little fragrance. The packaging is super nice as well, love the colour

Works great as defence against environmental factors like pollution etc. Upon application, it gives cool mint feeling, would suggest to leave it for a minute or two before applying foundation.

Love this!!

This primer smells like spa and it's sooo good. It has a really nice cooling effect when applying, and my skin feels so soft after. It creates a light and smooth base, which helps my makeup to settle better. Definitely recommend it!!
