Not my kind of hair dye
I received the göt 2b Head Turner in Denim Blue from Chick Advisor free to try. It totally wasn't what I expected. It's a liquid that you spray onto the hair and it is kind of messy. You have to make sure everything is covered so you don't get colour everywhere. It does come with a set of gloves so you're hands are protected.
I found that once the hair was dry, the hair felt coated and not as soft and silky like it normally would feel. It was hard to brush through as it knotted easily. The colour also comes off the hair onto your hands very easily. Even once the hair is dried your hands will turn blue when you run your hands through your hair. I don't like my hair to feel like it has too much product in it or having to worry whether or not the colour will transfer onto my clothes or furniture.
The product over all is a great idea to colour your hair and be able to change colours if you wanted to easily. It was easy to use, just on the messy side. It had a pleasant fragrance to it, wasn't smelly at all. The blue also looked really nice as well. Just wish it felt better in the hair.
Not the results I hoped for.
I was really excited to try this temporary color, denim blue, to find a new look as I have tried lots of hair colors and coloring products. I received it complimentary.Unfortunately, I did not get the results I thought I would. The instructions on the box differed slightly from the one on the pamphlet inside. One said use on washed and conditioned hair. Said can be used on dry or damp hair. Or use in shower for best effect, Even tried it on grey hair, salt and pepper. I have dark blond but the color swatches on the box showed a subtle blue result. No results on me or my other trials. Even tried looking for the lightener product to see if that would help, couldn't find it anywhere. I asked a hairdresser and was told you really need to have very light hair or recently (really) lightened hair. The product was really runny so if you want to do just the ends it is too hard to control. I saw one girl with the pink color, but her hair did not look soft and colorful like on the box, hers looked almost dirty. This product is not for me.
Cotton Candy Fun
I love the idea of this and think its fun to add some colour to the tips. I did not find I got the result I wanted. I tried my hair damp, very little went on, went back did it on dry at the tips. It was there but not as bridge as I thought. Maybe on my blonde hair the blue would have been a better choice.
I got it free, thanks to Chick Advisor. Definitely try again, it could be my error. I did find it came out later on my brush and just one wash it was gone.
Nice product but not for me
It is great fun to add a bit of dazzle to ones hair. GÖT2B HEAD TURNER does just that. With an easy to use spray and quick results GÖT2B HEAD TURNER easily jazz's up your hair. As a tester for Chick Advisor #gotitfree, I found the spray dried my hair out. I also, didn't find the colour flattering on my hair.
Dommage...
I didn't like this product.
I #gotitfree from ChickAdvisor to review in the color Cotton Candy. I have medium blonde hair so I thought that I would get a reddish/pinkish hue on my hair. Firstly, I tried this product in the shower, with my hair wet (as is suggested in the box). The result was nothing at all, not a single sign of change. I read some reviews saying that some people had gotten better results from applying this product in the hair dry. Then, I tried the dye again with dry hair. I noticed some slight result but definitely not enough to make the product worth it in my opinion. Also, the spray made my skin itch which makes me think that I'm allergic to something inside the product. The spray has a sweet disgusting smell that I couldn't stand. I didn't like the actual spray, the mechanism that makes the product go out. The color went out very directed and when I tried to spread it, it was very difficult and theresult was a patchy application. All in all, I don't recomend.
Pink... Ish. Smells AMAZING! Difficult application.
Love love loved the smell! I made everyone smell the section(s) I had attempted to color. That said, I found it quite difficult to apply evenly.
Color is nice and subtle but didn't even have to wash it before it really faded. Noticed this after only one day.
DO NOT PLAY WITH YOUR HAIR FOR HOURS AFTER!! and especially don't do that then rub your eyes. I did this twice. It sucked.
Thank you Chickadvisor and Got2B for letting me try this out for free! Always a pleasure :).
Fun, but messy
I received the Denim Blue Headturner to Pastelize Blonde Hair for free to review.
I'll preface this by saying my hair is dark blonde/light brown (bronde) and so it is the darkest shade match on the side of the box.
I found the directions to be a little confusing, the paper leaflet only gave about 1/2 of the directions that were on the side of the box, so I found myself referring to both.
Given that this is a 1-3 wash product, I can see the value in having the colour in a spray bottle, there is no mixing, and thus no disposal of extra dye. However, this makes for a messy application, so I recommend standing in the shower. Depending on how long your hair is, make sure you are well covered with a towel or do it in the buff, the dye wipes off your skin easily enough with a damp wash cloth.
My hair is long but thin so I sectioned my hair into 4 ponytails to apply the dye and make sure I had it even throughout. After combing thru the dye I removed each elastic and re-combed my hair before blowdrying.
I couldn't really see the blue colour except for a tiny hint of it so once I finished blowdrying I grabbed a small section of hair and sprayed in more dye and then re-blowdried to see if I could make it stand out more, which to the naked eye I still couldn't see it. However, my camera on my phone was able to pick up the colour so it was there and probably on a nice bright & sunny day I would have seen the difference.
All in all, my hair was just too dark and the application was too messy for me to want to buy this again, but I don't think that makes this a bad product by any means. I would instead if I wanted a dramatic colour go the route of lightening my hair 1st before dyeing.
Meh
Don't think I would buy this product again. If I was to go a bright colour like this, it would make more sense to go to a salon. The product was okay, but came out too streaky.
OK, but not Great
The spray method isn't great at all, and the spray was so concentrated that it came out deeper in some spots as it came out on my hair as little circles.
Would much rather a mouse or gel to apply for the temporary ones. And now every time I brush my hair the pink is coming out in the brush so not great.
