It's ok

I just tried this lightener and it was the very first time I have ever lightened my hair myself. I always go to a salon to get highlights put in as my hair has darkened over the years. I am a blonde, always have been, always will be. I have not had my hair done in almost a year so it was perfect time to be selected to try this out!
I followed the directions to a T! I checked the process at 30 minutes and it definitely needed longer so I waited to the 45 minute mark and then washed it out. I should have waited longer! I looked in the mirror after my shower (I also shampooed with purple shampoo) and my hair was yellow/orange! I freaked out a little thinking I just ruined my hair. I blew dried it and there wasn't much difference from the wet look to the dry look. It was still quite yellow mixed with orange in spots.
Also, there was not enough lightener to begin with! I was not happy about that at all. I'm thinking that if the bleach was in a bigger bottle with more product, I think it would have come out a lot nicer and more even looking too.
I have now purple shampooed my hair 4 times in a matter of 2 days and it is looking better now, but I will be off to the store to purchase a toner to match the top of my hair to the bottom.
For all the bleaching newbies like I was, definitely leave the product on longer then 45 minutes, keep checking the process as you go along into the longer time frame, if you have much darker roots that you are trying to match the rest of your hair with and have a toner ready just in case!

It was ok

I used this as a base to lighten my hair before dying it another color. It did good at lightning my actual hair to a blonde color but didnt lighten and areas of my hair that had a permenant color on it already. Also i would have rather had a tray and brush like the colou comes with. mixing the powder in the bottle is a bit messy and gets caught in the nozzel.

Good product for prepping hair before colouring!

This was my first time using a lightening product(bleach) and I was a little nervous to try. I did receive this for free so I figured I'd give it a go.

I used this on my daughters hair first to prep her strands/chunks of hair for the coloring stage. It was very easy to apply and I felt that it covered well. Within minutes her hair color was lifting. When it was time to wash out it was kind of a brassy blond-ish color. (FYI her natural hair color is a light brown and she had a few faded streaks of colours from last summer). It did a really good job and definitely enhanced the beautiful colours I put in after the bleach was washed out.

Then...my turn. So not sure if I missed something or maybe didn't read all the instructions. But unfortunately, the lightening product only lifted my natural dark brown hair at the roots...it was unable to lighten my old black hair dye from a year ago. I thought maybe I didn't apply enough product or maybe I shouldn't have applied the bleach to my roots first. I'm definitely not a hair stylist by trade lol (p.s. I did purchase my own got2b lightening product just incase the one I received for free wasn't enough for two of us).

I love this product so much. Thanks to Chick Advisor & #got2b for allowing me to try this product. For someone who has long thick hair it's always a nightmare when a salon hair dye takes 4 hours or more for them to bleach and dye the hair.

This product is amazing. Instructions are clear, precise and easy to follow. For someone with bust length hair there was more than enough product to cover my whole head of hair while having a little bit left over. I put this on over my dark brown roots and they lifted completely within 10 minutes. I had 7 months fading green hair and this helped lift the color to a pale green color which was nice.

Will be using this product on my hair to lighten my dark roots before going to the salon to help save me time in the chair and money.

I got this product for free. Very easy to fallow direction made hair feel soft to the touch and left a beautiful blonde shade I would definitely recommend to friends

did not work on my hair as expected

I was excited when I got selected to try this product as I have never used a product like this before. I have medium brown hair but have always dye it from blonde to black. at the time I received this product in the mail my hair was black, wasn't very confidence that this would work. first I would like to say that the instructions are horrible, very small writing and no photos (just comparing to other dye out there). read the instruction before starting and notice that it said if your hair is longer then chin length you should use two boxes (my hair is shoulder length and I only received one box (problem number 1). I applied the solution to may hair leaving it for the full 45 min (as my hair is black) it turned my hair into an orange mess. I understand I had black hair so no expectation for my hair to be platinum blonde but was expecting more of a blonde then orange. for this reason alone I will not be purchasing this product in the future.

Bleach made easy

I received this product for free as part of the product review club #gotitfree and actually was a bit hesitant to leave it on for the full time so ended up washing out after about 10 or 15 minutes. I have dark hair and was looking for a more subtle change before applying the got2b creative red. Of course this is bleach so smells awful but just make sure you are in a room with a fan / window. Worked really well and was the perfect amount of lightening effect before the temporary colour. Didn’t feel harsh on my hair and the conditioner was really nice.

Did the trick!

I've never bleached my own hair before, so this was a little scary, but it was so easy that I'll definitely try this again! I got this for free from the product review club. I have to say, I don't know that it lightened my hair as much as I thought it would, but I have very dark hair. After leaving the dye in for as long as it told me to, I ended up with a honey sort of colour in my hair, but pretty far from blonde. Luckily, I was going over it with a bright red, so it didn't matter. The red turned out perfect afterwards, so no complains on that one. This did exactly what I needed to. Thank you!

Good product

I received this free for testing purposes from Chick Advisor. I have recieved multiple compliments on my new hair colour. It was easy to use but one box only covered half my head. I was lucky to find another box at Shoppers Drug Mart but couldn't get over the price. It was 16.99! I thought that was outrageous for hair dye. There are so many other dyes for much, much cheaper. I figure for 2 boxes of red dye and 2 boxes of the bleach that's 80.00 after tax. I could never justify spending that money on dying my hair. In that case I'll just pay a professional. It's been one full week with the dye and it still runs in the shower. It's a bit of a pain in the butt. The dye didn't damage my hair which was wonderful. At the end of the day I would repurchase if I could find it on sale. I also would recommend as it was easy to use and looks amazing. I'm seriously in love with the colour. Thank you Chick Advisor!!!
