I adore Tim Gunn because he seems like such a gentleman and I really, truly, feel that if he knew me, we'd be BFFs.

That being said, I really enjoyed reading this book because of the wealth and diversity of information provided. I love that he talks about his past, his own personal life (and there are great and surprising stories in here!) but he also speaks about his career. The book basically goes through life lessons that he has acquired so far, and all goes back to his old mantra- make it work! The book is also littered with advice and unusual tidbits and fashion insider knowledge. I found the book pretty inspiring actually. I love that he appreciates hard work, dedication and intelligence in an industry is mostly focused on looks. The book is somewhat disorganized as he jumps from topic to topic with no real links. I recommend buying this book because you will probably end up keeping it and using it for reference or if you are ever feeling uninspired- take it out and re-read it! If you aren't a big fashion buff, then it is still a good read but maybe more of a library book.
