Smooths Hair

I got this as a sample from Hair Food Smooth Collection. The smell while not pungent was still pronounced. It was not a fragrance I would associate with avocado and fortunately did not stay in my hair long.

The shampoo is sulfate, dye, paraben and mineral oil free. It lathers well for a sulfate free shampoo. It felt like a decent cleanser and did a good job of smoothing and straightening my slightly wavy hair. However, it was drying and did not nourish nor soften at all as the label suggests. (I also followed up the shampoo with the same conditioner.)

I may use it once in a while during the summer but would definitely avoid it in the winter.

There are better sulfate/etc-free shampoos.
