I read all the Harry Potters in one go. I did enjoy the series but I felt the first 4 books were the ones that really shined. I still recommend reading them all obviously I'm just mentioning that I felt the series kindof felt rushed at the end. Overall I found it was a solid series with great writing, the imagery and ideas that went into these books are immense. Even people who aren't a fan of fantasy books I feel can still be sucked into the world created in these books. A definite recommendation to any young adult.

Loved it! You have to read all the other ones though in order to understand this one. Alot of the questions that have been building up throughout the series are answered. I was a little sad that there were still some things that weren't quite still cleared up, but it was still a great book. Alot of people get a little turned off by the length, but I feel that it's worth it and it made the movies more enjoyable to me.

Amazing, amazing, amazing book!! A true classic, and literature at it's best. Like all the other harry potter books out there, it is extremely hard to put this book down once you've started reading. I remembered back in my teen years that I would stay up really late just to continue reading this book!

There won't be a series that will be better than this for a long time, so you better run out to the bookstore/library and grab this if you haven't already.

I havent read this book yet but I have read all the other boks of Harry potter and am in Love with all of them. JK Rowling has style and a great imagination!!! most of her spells and enchantments are derived from the latin language and sound so awesome when spoken. When i read the books i feel like I am in the adventure myself i get sad when the book is about to finish because it had become a part of my life, but then theres another book right after it to read and the adventure begins again, Its a long real life movie in my head except that its fake. I LOVE SUPERNATURAL STORIES that make you think imaginative creations in your head. I have watched all the movies too and even though the movie in my head was great to me, the movie i seen was alright it made sense and was a great way to replay the act in my head with the movie actors' faces. I will definitely try to read this book soon and then watch the movie.

I loved this book too. The series really starts to get darker and more mature with this book. It only took me a couple days to read because it was so captivating.

    I would recommend the series!

This book is WOW, you will not be able to put it down. I didn't do a lot of reading until after I read the Harry Potter books and this one is best of all of them. You will not be able to put it down, I promise!

I love this entire series, and was happy with the ending. So much happens in these books, you don't want to skip anything, but it is so suspenseful to get to the very end!

I lasted 1 day, and then couldn't stand it and had to buy it! I was disappointed only that what I predicted came true, otherwise it is a fantastic ending to the best series since Lord of the Rings. It encompasses all age groups, inspires imagination, asks critical social questions, challenges our notions of what children and adults are capable of, an is deeply steeped in mythology. The intertextuality various levels of reading left me giggling many a time! I also love to visit various sites and learn the different meanings behind certain thing, like name choices and the meaning of wood in wands etc.

I would recommend this book/entire series to everyone.

Yay! I just finished this book yesterday. Midway through, I thought to myself, since the format of this book is unlike any of its predecessors, all the previous books were essentially worthless. Sure, you needed to read them to know a lot of the references in the final book, but the content of those books seemed so juvenile and wasted. But as I read on it became apparent that ALL of it was important. JK Rowling did a really good job sewing in so many details from all of the previous books. So many open issues are closed. Everything is resolved. Once you get past a certain point in the story the book is page turner that was really hard to put down.

I find it interesting that the cover art appears to be different for the States vs. Canada!
