I am just now getting into the Harry Potter books and movies. I like this movie. It has so many twists and turns. It seems so realistic, I can almost imagine that I'm there.
As a Harry Potter fan who re reads the book series every Winter, I can honestly say this movie is great. There are obviously parts of the book that were left out, but the parts that were left were beautifully done. The scenery is breathtaking, the story wonderful.
I'm a huge die hard harry potter fan, and although as always books always rock over movies, I have to say they did an AMAZING job in all the HP movies, but especially this last one.
When I heard that book 7 was being split into 2 movies I was a bit skeptical, maybe they're trying to milk the public for all it's worth? But when I saw HP7v2, it just blew my mind. Again, this will never replace the book. No matter how detailed they try to make it, the book is just too thorough to be replaced for a few hours on screen. That being said, this is an excellent movie. It was thrilling, kept you emotionally gripped, made you cry, sigh, and basically give you major withdrawal once it's over.
I loved all the special effects, and you could see they really did try to at least convey the feel of the book across in the movie.
Just to give you an idea of how good I found the movie, I've already watched it twice, once in IMAX.
I highly recommend it to one and all.
This is going down as a classic epic tale of magic, family and friends.
Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2 was a really amazing movie. Harry Potter is going to be one of those book and movie series that for generations children and adults alike will enjoy! The series has something for everyone....occasional comedic factors and romance, but more importantly the power of family, friendship and strength.
This movie had amazing special effects scenery and makeup. The actors and costumes were all superb. This movie was thrilling, epic and thoroughly entertaining!
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 is a movie that you will not soon forget. I strongly recommend you see it...personally I loved it!
I really like the movie! Although of course I still consider the books to be better than the movies. They did a superb job with the last movie and I truly think that it's the best one. I agree that some parts are kind of cheesy but overall it was great. I teared up and I think a lot of people were crying around me since I heard a lot of sniffles. This was a great movie and I'm going to wait for the entire Bluray box set to come out so I can buy the whole collection :D
I saw this over the weekend and I loved it. Though I've seen all of the movies I haven't read the books so I didn't know what was going to happen. I went in vowing not to cry but during a scene involving Snape (I won't give any details), I was a blubbering mess. Every part of the film was superbly done - with the exception of one lame unconvincing kiss between Potter and Ginny Weasley.
Overall, Potter fans will not be disappointed. Bring your Kleenex!
Oh gosh, I haven't stopped crying in the entire movie.
heavy spoiler alert coming up!
Snape's death was super underplayed, but man, he can act!
When I saw George (fred?) lying on the ground, You do not understand how devastated I was.
Definitely not worth the "oscar nods" but COMPLETELY worth watching!
I think this is by far the best of the movie series, and I'm going to buy it as soon as it releases on DVD! GAH i'm so excited!
The best part of the movie? When they were handing out Harry shaped 3d glasses.
