Not for animals who already have fleas
We had our cat for over 3 years and he had never had fleas. Someone dropped off kittens at our home and they stayed on our porch so we feed them. The shelter in my area said they could take them but they'd be put down so they are outside still. They have fleas. I'm a single mom and can barely afford to feed them so I hadn't been able to buy flea products. However my inside cat started scratching and low and behold he had fleas. I guess they got on us from the outside cat. I bought Advantage and it got better but I couldn't pay another $50 for 2 treatments so I bought a Hartz flea collar. He still has fleas they are just hiding out on his tails away from the collar. We sit down daily and use a flea comb on him. I wish there were inexpensive flea products that actually worked. I wouldn't recommend this unless your using it to protect and not remove fleas but I'm not even sure that will work.
Works like a charm!
I have 2 awesome kitties. They are 3&4;years old. They both like to sneak out on me as cats do so they both like to bring home little friends, fleas, mice whatnots. So long story short I bought them both one of these flea collars and knock on wood (tap, tap) they haven't brought a single thing home since, mice included thankfully!! ;P
