Not Impressed

I received the Hatchimals Rainbow-cation free to evaluate. My daughter is 3. She had a lot of fun cracking the egg and revealing the toys. But that was about it. She got frustrated when the toys would not sit on their own on a table (they would just fall on their sides). The "vacation" egg has cardboard/paper floors that do not stay in place. Overwhelmingly, the most negative part of the toy is the amount of waste packaging that comes with it. In a time when we are to teach our kids to reduce, reuse and recycle, this toy produced excessive waste for the actual size of the toy itself. I am generally impressed by Spinmaster's quality of toys, but this one is a huge disappointment.

Cute but underwhelming

My daughter was really excited to open up the Hatchimals Rainbow - cation toy! She really enjoyed the 4 characters that came with it but the play set was a bit more complex than expected. There were no clear instructions on how to install the backdrops and pieces didn't seem to go together well. After trying different ways to put the backdrops in, we gave up. The structure itself is simple but materials felt cheap. She loves the figurines but gave up on the playset.

Play dates for all

Happy to receive and test this hatchimal play date pack with my child. Once hatched, it came with little animals and a set for the animals to play on. Lots of creative scenarios can be had when you mix and match the various toys and play sets, if you collect the 10 different sets. Thanks for letting us try for free!

Hatchimals playdate set

We were so excited to receive this toy today, and have an opportunity to try it for free! My little one needed help opening the package, but went to play with the backdrops and figurines immediately. It’s cute and comes with a egg case. Fun for any hatchimal lover.
