Not for toddlers
*Warning this is not made for toddlers and small kids*
I still consider my 4 year old a toddler who can give any toy its fair share of play and really see how a toy holds up. These did NOT hold up to a curious 4 year old. She did not understand the concept of waiting and instead "hatched" her egg early. Your child needs to understand patience for this toy.
The little hatchimal animals which came out of the egg were very low quality. One already has its wing broken coming right from the box and the wings pop off very easily. Again for a responsible gentle child.
For the older child who understands the concept of waiting and caring for a toy this would be exciting to see the process of hatching and knowing how to care for the animals but not small children. My child can not read the instructions for how to play and help the little animals grow.
Awesome and SO Cute!
I couldnt believe how many colors there were to choose from. So cute and loved the way the sounds sounded when it was about to hatch. My daughter loved it and I couldnt wait til she opened it. Cant wait to add more to the hatchamail family we started.
We love Hatchimals!!!!!
We have been Hatchimal fans since the craze started two Christmas’s ago. Yes I was that mom on the hunt day and night to make sure that both of my children got one on Christmas morning. Two years later and we are still collecting. The hatching excitement never gets old. I highly recommend!!
I would buy this product again
My daughter's love their hatchimals. They love taking care and nurturing things. It teaches them responsibility of taking care of an animal. They didn't let it out of their sight and cared for it until it hatched, which was amazing. Their eyes lit up, it is one of their favorite toys. They love that you can teach it things, they have taught theirs to say all kinds of words. I would recommend this for any little one that loves taking care of things.
Fun for a minute but maybe not worth the hype.
This was the second Hatchimal I bought my children. Every year since they’ve been released, my kids beg for the Hatchimal of the hour, and go nutso cracking it open. I was sure the Peacat twins would have a longer-lasting play effect than the single Hathcimals from the year before. All I know is that after they hatch, my kids put the Hatchimals on a shelf. And that’s that. I’m not sure these are worth the hefty price tag. After two attempts (times 2 kids)- so 4 Hatchimals total including these Peacats- I think we are done with Hatchimal purchases. Cute for a bit, but if my kids want to crack anymore eggs open, they can start by making breakfast!!
Neat toy!
Fun toy for your kids to experience. Helps teach them patience and nurturing! Will be buying more in the future and I will reccomend to all my friends with kids! Could also be a great gift.
furry and cute
This toy has its pluses and minuses. Kids have wanted this toy for the longest time so i finally bought my girls each one for Christmas. Its cute but i wish it did more or talked more and said things we could understand. I think for the price you pay i expected more but kids were still very happy with it. In the end its for the kids so if they are happy I'm happy.
My kids are obsessed
I presented the Hatchimals Surprise on a morning show and Spin Master generously said I could keep them! I rushed them home to my kids who were eagerly waiting to try them out.
This is such a clever toy. You remove the feet at the bottom of the egg and then cuddle and play with the egg for 10-20 minutes to get it to hatch. While you're doing that you can hear giggling noises and eyes lighting up through the egg. This version has twins so when the first one pops out it starts singing Happy Birthday. Then you pull the other one out and it sings Happy Birthday as well. It's super cute and funny to watch.
The construction of the egg itself is really unique. My kids really enjoyed breaking the egg apart once the first Hatchimal started to hatch.
The little guys that come out do a lot of babbling and dancing and lighting up. They interact with each other, which is really cute. There is a switch on the bottom you can turn them off (a key feature for all parents!).
This is a great gift to give you if you want a big reaction from your kids.
