As an owner of a cat with feline herpes, I give him daily supplements of Lysine to lessen his outbreaks, and double the dosage when he's showing signs of an outbreak. The chicken liver flavor is good enough that my cat will eat one no problem. My only advise to owners is to break them in half and give them like that as the treats are quite large and some cats may find them cumbersome to chew.
