I much prefer the lighter version of mayonnaise because I won't feel so full and stuffed. The best part is that it tastes the same! It is also easier to spread and I feel that it doesn't make my sandwiches soggy.
I always use this mayonnaise as a potato salad dresser. It has very nice taste but not too much to change potato salad original taste. Also, it has very high quality.
I love to add Hellmann's Light Mayonnaise to almost anything, my burgers, macaroni salad, I even substitute sour cream on my baked potatoes for Hellmann's Light Mayo 1/2 the calories but sooooo good.
It still has majority of the original taste, but the "half fat" aspect did change the taste of the mayo and I would not buy again.
I feel if you are going to eat mayo have it originally with all fat included, it is what makes the taste
I have been using this brand for over a decade. I love the fact it is 1/2 the fat without compromising taste. I cook with it, use it in sandwiches, so being more health conscious these days, it really helps with that.
So although I'll eat this mayo, it's not my fav, i think anything half fat etc takes away from original flavour. So its still good in my books, but I wouldnt buy it on purpose
I have been buying Hellmann's lights for years... I love the fact that it is 1/2 fat but it still creamy and taste the same then "full fat" Mayo
I saw that Hellmann's now do Mayo 1/2 fat with olive oil... It 's not available at my market but I can't wait to try it...
This is mine and my family's favorite mayo. I have not bought a different brand in over a decade. No one notices it is half the fat and the taste is stellar.
I love the way Hellman's light 1\2 the fat mayonnaise taste. It's got a light and creamy taste. I love it much better than the tangy taste that others have. Would recommend it to anyone
Though I love Hellmann's mayonnaise, I can't say I adhere to the thought that the 1/2 less fat has the same taste as the full fat. I understand that this is the healthier version, but the taste is closer to that of Miracle Whip than it is mayonnaise...
