I have really thick hair and I sometimes have to do a triple wash just to make sure it gets clean (what can I say... I really like to tease and use lots of hair spray!) I came across this product about two years ago and I will never go back to another shampoo and conditioner.

It gets your hair really clean, it definately makes your color stay longer than it normally would and it creates really great volume.

In the past I've had a hard time finding a great shampoo and conditioner that didn't make my hair greasy and gross by the end of the day. I also have the horrible habit of playing with my hair and running my fingers through it, thus making it really greasy. None of my bad habits have to be altered (LOL) with Herbal Essence's color me happy shampoo and conditioner, which is great! :)

I loved the shampoo..I tmade my hair feel soft and after few weeks of use I liked how my color stayed.
Though....my teen daughter tried shampoo and so did NOT like it..She said her hair did not feel clean and it gave her hair too much body (she likes to iron her hair out) and said iif you donot want to spend hours extra in front of mirror hair iron in hand don't use it,
I plan to stick to this product myself

Like some other people on this website, I didn't have a good experience with this shampoo. It make my hair go limp like they were super greasy or something. Plus, dying my hair for ten years now and It's one of the worst shampoos for colored hair I've come across. My color fades in less than 2 weeks!! And I even used it WITH Herbal essence hair dye and it does not make a difference.

I had to write about this shampoo and conditioner as it was the worst hair washing experience I have ever had. In fairness to Hebal Essences Color Me Happy Shampoo and Conditioner, this product probably did not work for me because I was allergic to it in some way...which is weird because their products have never caused me problems in the past. Color me Happy Shampoo/Conditioner cause my scalp to turn red and itch like crazy. I promptly washed the product out and soaked my head with water for awhile. The weird thing is that within a day, my roots were oily as though I had worked out but the rest of my hair was dry and felt brittle. Needless to say I will not be using this product again.

I used to use Herbal Essences every day for years. I don't buy it as often now but I still like the shampoo. I think I like it now because I'm not using it as often as I used to, so when I do, it's invigorating and I love using it! I think before I just used it so much that I got sick of it. It's a great product though and it always leaves my hair smelling so fresh and feeling clean. I love the conditioner because my hair combs out easily after.

I have used Herbal Essences shampoos mostly throughout highschool and some of my college life. I used to dye my hair quite often and then use Herbal Essences colour protecting formulas. Maybe it was the type of hair colours I used (mostly L'Oreal, and some 6-month Clairol treatments), but after using Herbal Essences my hair colour would run like crazy. Also, I do not find the smell of the older Herbal Essences shampoos and conditioners very appealing. After a few washes it gets old very fast. I am sick of this product and feel that it does not work whatsoever.

Again, this could just be because of the type of hair dye I was using at the time, but I feel that this product is not worth the money.

I started using Herbal Essences shampoo for Color Treated hair about five years ago when I first started dying my hair, and it's worked AMAZINGLY well.

Not only does it protect the color and make it last longer, but it also keeps my hair healthy, soft, and shiny.

Over the years, there've been times when I've run out and had to use my mom's shampoo or something, and there is a VERY noticable difference in the texture of my hair and the color after a few washes with different shampoos or conditioners.

I've toyed around with the different Herbal Essences line, and recently they completely changed the original "For Color Treated Hair" to "Color Me Happy", changing the packaging as well, but it still works just as well.

And for six dollars for the shampoo AND conditioner...it's completely worth it.

Oh, and here's something that's not a big surprise: My cousin lives next door to me and recently dyed her hair...and she keeps coming over to use my shampoo constantly.
