Smells great but barely lifts if you have thick hair!
I found it leaves my hair type (thin but a lot of hair) very hard and stiff if I do not style immediately after putting into my hair. Does not lift the root as much as higher-end products. It gives a lift but not much of one, and does not leave hair looking tousled unless you are using some kind of curling tool.
I had high hopes for this...and got it with a coupon at Walmart. But I was disappointed. it doesnt do what I expected it to. Makes my hair a little crunchy but the waves dont hold, and no frizz control whatsoever.
This mousse isn't all that great. The only thing about it that I like is the smell... The violet is so nice! It's too sticky for me, and doesn't do much. I prefer different ones! =)
i recently bought this product for my 12yr old daughter. Her hair is thick and wavy. I'm not a big fan of mousse to begin with but she wanted to try it (because of the commercial she saw with tthe rockstar girl)
She tried it a few times with different results each time. Sometimes it made her hair kinda stiff .. which she didn't like. Sometimes it worked well and she was happy with the results.
Maybe she just has to learn how to use the product properly and consistently for best results.
For the price of it i wouldn't NOT reccomend it but i wouldn't give it high praise either. .
Usually I don't like mousse and tend to avoid it, but a while back I was in the mood to try something new in my hair and this 2.97 bottle at Wal-Mart was too good a price to pass up.
It should be noted that my hair can be really wavy or loosely curled, depending on the products I use. I tend to use curl creams and sprays to play up the curls and tame frizz.
This product works towards the wavier side of my hair. And I have to say I like it. I don't love it, but I wouldn't discourage you from buying it. It has a nice lavender scent and doesn't make your hair crunchy (something I normally despise about mousse).
However I find that it tends to be a little temperamental. Sometimes it makes gorgeous wavy curls, other days it doesn't look like I put anything into my hair, resulting in a hot mess. I would say the majority of the time it works, and maybe its just my unskilled hand when it comes to using mousse as opposed to cream, but I wasn't terribly blown away. (I should also note that the bottle instructs you to blow dry with a diffuser, something I almost never do. My hair looks a million times better when I air dry, so this could be the reason I am not in love with this product...)
But hey, for the 3 bucks, I can't really complain right?
